Chicken Chef — Restaurant in Flin Flon

I guess the Saturday 2pm lunch customers don't deserve prompt, friendly service. We walked in and I made eye contact with the girl who ended up being our server, and we still waited over 5 minutes after being seated for anyone to come over. I am also disappointed with the amount of time it took for her to see if we needed a refill on our beverages while we waited - and she walked by twice. While eating, she did not stop by our table until the very end of our meal. This is unusual, as the more mature servers are personable, pleasant and prompt... Must be a generational thing, then.

While I would stay far away from their lasagna, breakfast is a whole other ball park and they do an exceptional job! On this visit I had eggs benedict, my parther had the breakfast quesadilla, both with a side of stuffed hashbrowns. The hollandaise was damn near perfect. The quesadilla was awesome. The ham had a smokey flavour to it and all the ingrediants stood out beautifully. Friendliest staff in town I think, usually fairly busy but they still do a good job of topping up coffees and drinks. As a franchise, I've always thought that chicken chef was alright. Not something you could eat everyday, for both price and health reasons, lol. The chicken wings I ordered were ok; I'd have preferred them to be cooked more. Sauces weren't great either. The server(s) were very good in the beginning, but had few returns for followup services (refills, quality checks, pre-bus, etc). The building itself was fairly new and offered draught, few tvs as well. Bathrooms were properly stocked, albeit poorly indicated.

Missing stars would be for the servers ignoring us beyond 3 minutes, and a bit more love in the food, would bring this up...
