Beautiful table d'hote A lovely amuse bouche, perfect cornchowder and the Romanesco and sourdough Crostini was one of my favourite appetizers ever! The Fogo Island Cod was pure perfection, flaky, and soft, yet with a good bite, crisp and fresh. Beautifully plated and complemented with herb oil drizzle. Tamari Molasses Baby Back Ribs were the perfect blend of a lil spice and being ooey without being too gooey :) Loved the acidity bringing it all together by the incredible turnip coleslaw!! Obviously, cheesecake is always good, although found the graham wafer crust a bit dry for my taste. The London Tea Cake was a tad too sweet but I wasn't mad at it, lol. The accompanied homemade silky smooth rum raisin icecream was perfect! Only recommendations I'd have would be servers/ hosts could spend a little time to introduce the culinary experience more in detail, make recommendations to pair wine etc. However, they knew the menu when asked and were friendly. There was a little mix up with the bill but it was handled well, and I appreciated the patience to resolve it by management. 10/10 would recommend as a destination culinary experience!

A one of a kind experience in Fogo Island. From the welcoming and charming staff to the space, the mood and the food. The interior decoration is done so delicately, with beautiful colour choices, alternate chairs, cushions, plates, and napkins. The furniture design is so unique and are crafted by the owner himself. The cocktail selection is distinctive and I chose the Kitchen Party which was refreshing and sweet as described on the menu. The food was beautifully arranged on plates. We shared a few dishes so we can indulge each meal: the Beat Falafel, The Fried Dough Boys with the split pea butter was scrumptious, the Cod & Fengreek Cream Curry with the mouth watering sliced cabbage and crispy rice and finally, the Tiramisu with its unique blend of cream cheese and partridgeberries unlike any Tiramisu I've ever had. We ended our festive with decaf coffee and oatmilk. Kudos to the entire team for creating such a wonderful dining experience!

Atmosphere and decor are perfect 👌 giving authentic outport Newfoundland vibes with the display of local handiwork via the handmade seat cushions. The food is a creative blending of Newfoundland cuisine and flavours. A definite 5 star, with the exception of the "bubble and squeak" a potatoe and cabbage patty. It was more of a potatoe patty and a little bland. The dish might be better served with a fish cake or a full hash cake with a combination of root vegetables. Everything else on the plate was outstanding. I highly recommend the pork shoulder hash. The jam jam tiramisu is one of the best desserts I have ever tasted. If you're looking for elevated Newfoundland cuisine that's reasonably priced, this is your spot!!

Admittedly, we went for lunch on a bad day. We walked in to a nearly empty restaurant and asked for a table for 2. The server/hostess asked if we had a reservation. I was shocked. She asked someone in the back if they had room for us. Of course they did.

We were seated and directed to the QR codes for menus. Our hostess disappeared. We didn't know if we had to order digitally or not. So we waited. And waited. After 20 minutes, my wife went up to the counter to inquire about ordering. The server said she'd be out shortly.

When we ordered, we learned they were out of chicken. Thankfully, we had a Plan B.

The manager (or owner?) came out to apologize for the service and lack of chicken. Apology accepted.

Our fish and chips were excellent! We truly enjoyed the food. I'm sure the chicken would've been equally good.

We would give this restaurant another shot. We understand bad days. Everyone has them. Unfortunately we went to Bangbelly Cafe...
