Mary Brown's Chicken — Restaurant in Fort McMurray

Today, on September 13, around at 2130 hrs, I visited this location. One east Indian employee was moping the floor when I entered the store. He went inside the counter area and took my food order without washing his hands. He was moping with bare hands and was doing everything with his bare hands without bothering to wash them. He even served me food with his bare hands. When he passed me the food, I mentioned to him to at least wash his hands before serving food. He stated he only touched the food bag. I told him that he placed the napkins in the bag also. He stated "sorry". Also, this location serves only drink cans or bottles. No drink dispenser available. It appears that the location is managed by a greedy owner who is avoiding to give free drink refills. Also, hiring cheap labor on weak immigration status. I have added a photo of the sandwich, that's how I found it the moment I opened the box. Awesome quality of service. Not returning to this filthy location again.

Update: A response was received by the "Owner" stating to send them the email about my experience. I believe the "Owner" did not bother reading the review. If he had read it, he could have found out about the experience. Also, the "Owner" can view the CCTV footage of the store to verify...

service here has been top notch. I believe that the sense of urgency needed to provide customers a good experience has been addressed by management. I really like their food although sometimes the made fresh statement seems to not match up. I ordered two fried chicken burgers and it took about 11 minutes to produce and by the time I bit into them the chicken was already starting to be soggy and lukewarm. Now I don't think that this is such a bad thing but there is a statement of made fresh to order the fact that it took 11 minutes to bring me a burger with lukewarm chicken made me question this. I went back and ordered the poutine. This was served hot yet the potatoes could have used another minute or two of cooking. The cheese was not melting nor stringy as it should be. Gotta say this marybrowns is really good, I keep going because they always add that little extra to your meal. Sometimes it might be slow once in awhile when getting your food, but it's only ever at peak times when it's really busy or not enough people working at the time. Give the staff a big thank you and maybe a little extra for their efforts also because they do a great job. This particular marybrowns is highly recommended in my books.

Update 20/07/2024 Had to bring this down 2 stars today because the last 3 times I have went there the taters did not taste right and nor did the chicken. Thought maybe it was just me or maybe it was a 1 time mistake but no. Seems like the fryer oil has been changed or not cleaned out for awhile. Not sure what it might be but I had to throw out my food today because it tasted bad. Sorry guys, great customer service and usually good food but until I taste a change I can't justify the...
