Molly's Diner — Restaurant in Fort McMurray

The waitress earned the restaurant it's only star. She was great. However, the food left a lot to be desired. The coffee was just OK, not good and strong like I expect diner coffee to be. I ordered the reuben, and it was the most pathetic excuse for a reuben sandwich ever. I don't know where they get their rye bread, but they were the tiniest, slices of rye bread I have ever seen in my life. Two thin slices of Montreal smoked meat, no sauerkraut and no Swiss cheese. How do you make a reuben sandwich with no sauerkraut and Swiss cheese? At least there were a lot of fries. Cheap, frozen fries. And charging $1.75 extra for homemade bread?...

The girlfriend and I had a wonderful experience on our first visit. The chef, the mother of the owner, had obvious care for the food and even stopped by after our meal to ask how it was. The second visit, different meal’s, different cooks, while mine was okay, my girlfriend had the fish cakes, they were so gross, scrap that. Third visit, was a bomb, both meals, disgusting, our waitresses were always great though.

Place can be perfect, just need cooks who care.

My husband and I stopped in for dinner. We were greeted right away but THE nicest waitress! I had breakfast and my husband, the fish and chips. The food was delicious, hot and fresh.
