Smoke's Poutinerie Fredericton — Restaurant in Fredericton

As a long time poutine eater and supporter of smokes poutinerie I was wholely disapointed by a frankly discusting meal. I had spoken high praises of smokes to a friend of mine and decided to take this friend out to try it, we arrived in the downtown fredericton smokes location and ordered a meal size "veggie nacho" poutine for myself (my personal favorite on the menu), and a snack size traditional for my friend. The lacklustor employee rang in our order and I failed to notice that he had rung in both poutine as meal size, but I figured that this was partially my fault given that I should have checked the order. However, upon recieving the poutines I was incredibly dissapointed. Starting with the "traditional" poutine. Instead of the brown viscous hearty gravy that we were expecting what we were given was a discustingly bitter black congealed gravy that was barely warm and had the visual appearance and taste that it had been out for over a day. In addition the fries had a similar taste, that of being left out for several hours. To have been given a poutine which had failed miserably in delivering edible fries and gravy was very unexpected from a staple such as smokes. In addition to the first poutine there were also several major problems with the poutine I recieved. My poutine had the same problems with the fries and gravy however those weren't the sole problems. Upon recieving my poutine i noticed, firstly that one of the toppings (guacomole) was missing, and the other topings were compiled in a smothering gross manor (there was almost as much sirracha as gravy). I asked about the lack of guacamole on my poutine as it is my favorite part of the poutine as it contasts the heat from the sirracha and peppers, to which the sluggish employee behind the counter said "we dont have none". This upset me because if he had known that they were out of one of the ingredients I would have hoped that any employee would ask if i wished to change my order, knowing that I wouldn't be getting what I had came for, but instead the employee had either hoped i wouldnt notice, or simply didn't care. All in all we each had a few bites from our poutines then decided to throw them out and leave, I doubt I will be recommending Smokes again after...

Very disappointment with the customer service I recieved today. One of the girls was new and it was none of her fault, but for the other girl who was training her was very unprofessional. I ordered 2 snack size traditional poutine, 1 regular veggie deluxe and 1 regular pulled pork. We told them it was to go. They packed up the bag and gave it to us. We did not realize until half way home we only had 2 snack size and 1 regular pulled pork(missing veggie deluxe). I brought it back it Hope's that it was just a simple mistake that she forgot to pack the fourth in the bag. That was not the case at all. The girl told me I had to buy another one when I explained my situation. I said no I bought 4 poutines, I'm missing one. She argued with me and said I only paid for 3. I said I paid 37dollars there is no way 2 snack size and 1 regular comes to 37. She did a test on the cash and of course that only came to $26. Then she did a search on her cash and found the original order and saw I was right. Long story short she did not believe me and basically called me a liar when I explained what happened and when she realized she was wrong there was no apology ever given. I have worked in fast food, mistakes happen but there is a right way and a wrong way to deal with it and this was definitely wrong.

I was really looking forward to eating a delicious poutine, and I'm disappointed. I went out of my way to go in for a popcorn chicken poutine and was told they didn't have any left, after a couple awkward moments of silence I asked if there was any alternative he could offer and he said "I could put boneless chicken on it." Yay, sounds good. But I got home to 3 pieces of chicken and barely any gravy. I paid 26$ for two medium sized poutines with barely anything to them, I felt like I was just eating plain fries. The 3 stars is for the fact that when he did make my "poutine", he displayed excellent hand hygiene and covid precautions, which is always appreciated.
