Tried the bakery EONS ago, when they still had a store in Kingston. Decided to try it again. Lovely trip over on the ferry. Bought a loaf of cheddar garlic bread, 2 savoury pastries, a big peanut butter cookie, thought I bought 2 chocolate butter tarts, couple of quiche and biscotti. Got home and couldn't find the tarts. Not sure if I lost them somehow or what. Pastries were good. The loaf of bread was by far the worst. Got it home and opened it the next day. Cheese is only on top and was lack luster at best. Had a chat with Steve (owner) over coffee and tea. Afterwards, he went back to baking while we proceeded to select baked delectables for lunch, dessert and snacks later.
Mike and I shared a sausage roll, butter tart and huge cherry turnover. The chocolate bread was sampled before we got on the ferry.
Danish, cinnamon roll and blueberry raspberry scone made it home but did not last long.
