THE WORST BRANCH OF A&W!!! Save yourself the trouble and go To McDonald’s besides it! If you want to waste your time and wait an hour for 2 burgers come to this. I so Wish I could give negative stars! They made us wait more than an hour because the waitress was so UNprofessional and we didn’t know french. RACIST AND RUDE BRANCH!

Firstly she couldn’t understand the order which is okay but we still tried our best. We placed our order for a good 15 minutes and she still forgot not one BUT 3 burgers all together.

Secondly she said she’ll Come out and give us our order while we sit in the patio but didn’t come for a good 30-40 minutes. We tried to get inside for the food which was already prepared but she didn’t allow us because ONLY Drive through WAS WORKING when Tims and McDonald just besides were accepting indoor customers. She kept on saying after one car to come outside. She had enough time To take her break and have her drink but not to come outside and give us our order! We had a kid with us and since the patio was so unhygienic in such times which also attracted a lot of bugs and the kid started to cry since he was both hungry and harassed by bugs.

A&W should not call themselves a family restaurant if they can’t serve their clients. Being so close to Ontario border and Gatineau A&W should hire someone who can speak in English. Because of this we wasted more than an hour and also didn’t receive one of the items of the order because she couldn’t understand it. We gave up and simply went to McDonald’s and ordered what we want in 2 minutes. And I was loving it! We would prefer to die of hunger than visit an A&W in Quebec ! NEVER ever visit A&W in Quebec if you are an English speaker.

THE WORST BRANCH OF A&W, UNTRAINED AND RUDE STAFF, DIRTY...

If I can give a negative star, I would I went through the drive-through with complications with the app to my surprise. She was very helpful regarding that, but then told me I could place my order at the window since she asked me to come through to the window to show her my complications thankfully, there was nobody else in the lineup at all otherwise, I would’ve gotten out and gone inside. But I placed my order which was completely opposite of what my coupon was because the complications were still there placed an Order a kids chicken strip meal With an apple juice and fries and I ordered two Chipotle wraps with added bacon and an onion ring with extra seasoning as well A regular root beer When I got home to eat my food, I realized not only did she give us Old food, but she gave my son water with a very, very small splash of apple juice in it so basically water and for me my chipotle wraps did not have the bacon and we’re completely old and hard as well as my onion rings. My root beer was extremely flat as well. Overall, the experience was horrible. The food was absolutely terrible and I can’t even call them to let them know about this in hopes of getting either a refund or a new meal so that I can feed my Son, really unimpressed with Service of this location This job is not hard. I’ve literally worked at A&W myself as a teenager, but this is people that they’re paying for that care and represent the company a little better...

Pros:

Rootbeer served in a ice cold mug Great fries Presentation of the food Good service, amazing speed. Feel/ambiance of the restaurant (Retro burger bar kind of vibe)

Cons:

A bit expensive for what you get Onion rings weren't that good Meat was a bit dry Chicken burger was sub par

Overall:

Not bad, but it would need a bit more for me to go there more often. Probably will go there again once in a while. I believe some small changes are needed to reach the next level.

Suggestions:

Play the Retro vibe all the way! Make the portions nice and big and add a good milkshake in that menu. (Or promote it/make it better if it exists...)

Make sure the meat patties you serve are juicy and not dry, because that just kills a...
