McDonald's — Restaurant in Gatineau

Update: still same issues even post Covid, except now they get really stingy on fries (see photo), portions and 'extras' that are free in menu selections. Really hate this mcdonalds, updating score as even at best times its terrible to order there.

The worst/slowest McDonald's ive experienced when eating inside. I had 2 orders take over 30 minutes to be given. Their priority is drive tru it seems so I stopped going in.

Takeout/Drive tru often gets orders wrong; im lactose intolerant and asking for no cheese is apparently a concept alien to them. The amount of times i check my order, see a sans fromage sticker only to get home and it has extra cheese is mind blowing. I now have to open my burger at the window now to verify.

With that said, the staff does look over worked, very young, dealing with a lot like shortages in staff and supply issues but are still friendly. Just be aware going there youre in for some inconvenience but know why and be patient, its...

The service there sucks. I always tell myself i will give them another try and they always disappoint. I will not be going back. First i order a double cheeseburger with mac sauce only. When i get to the first window i confirm that it's only mac sauce and not ketchup and she looks at me like i am being rude and says yes with attitude. I say ok perfect. Get to the second window she gives me milk instead of chocolate milk for my daughter (not a big problem) so they exchange it. She hands me the happy meal, she hands me my bag and no fry.... ok i am a little annoyed by this point. I get home my fries taste like they've been sitting there for a half an hour and my root beer tastes nothing like root beer. And there's ketchup on my burger with the mac sauce grrr......

As I was waiting for my order, I went to go fill up my drink at one of the two fountains inside this restuarant. I went to the right fountain and filled up my drink with orange fruitopia. While it was filling up, I noticed quite a few flies hovering around the dispensers but it never really bothered me. So once my drink was done filling up, I closed it, grabbed my order and went home. After finishing my meal and my drink almost done, I opened the lid of my cup only to discover a fly floating in it. I was disgusted and shocked now knowing that I had consumed something with a dead fly in it.
