PIZZA 9 — Restaurant in Gatineau

My friend Anna and I stopped by to order a Hawaiian pizza and two drinks before our IMAX movie experience at the nearby Canadian History Museum. Despite not being very strong in French, we were treated with utmost respect and kindness, which made the experience even better. The staff were incredibly thoughtful, and our order was made to perfection.

The pizza was delicious and very filling—so much so that we have leftovers we’re already excited about! While waiting, we enjoyed browsing the menu, which offers an impressive variety of options from different cultures. The team made the wait enjoyable with their friendly and engaging demeanour.

They even went above and beyond by including items like takeout plates, forks, and knives in our bag, making it easy to enjoy our meal anywhere. Everything was thoughtfully organized, which we greatly appreciated.

The first time I ordered delivery on a Friday night with them it was fine and the food was fine.

The second time I ordered delivery on a Friday night was an utter disaster. Tried to call the restaurant to order but the line kept disconnecting so I ordered via just-eat.ca instead. Placed my order at 7:11pm and they gave a delivery time of 8:15pm. That 8:15 estimate arrived and passed. After many, many tries of calling and getting hung up on by the restaurant they finally picked up. Our order was not found and they said they would call us back in a few minutes. We waited 10 minutes and no call. Then at around 8:35, we actually DROVE to the restaurant, went up to the cash and inquired about our order. They said "it wouldn't be long." We waited ANOTHER 20+ minutes for the food. In total it took 2+ hours for our food, and that's probably because we drove ourselves to the restaurant. Horrible service -...

Ordered there a few times now. The pizza is really good, but the service is a bit of a let down. I can deal with delays but what I don't like is having to argue with an employee. I normally pick up in person but figured I'd use their online ordering instead. I did initially use a third party service they used in the past so I can understand if the info there isn't all accurate although they should terminate that partnership if they don't intend to keep it up to date. I got an email confirming my order followed by one confirming it's cancellation...

The worst was when I called. The man said they don't deliver before 15:00. When told it didn't say that on their website, he allured to my using the third party service instead of apologizing and argued it's stated on their own website. Thing is, the restaurant's very own website's FAQ doesn't even mention this delivery time...
