MosaiCanada 150 is tucked into a corner of the Park. It holds a marvellous collection of over thirty sculptures imaginatively constructed out of plants and flowers. Underlying the living vegetation is some sort of frame or structure which can't be seen. Each sculpture is quite marvellous such that I photographed over half of them so that I can see them again and again.
My favourite sculpture is Mother Earth seen as the head of a sad female. It took a long time to view each of two Chinese sculptures because of the complexity of the dragons and lions. In front of the large locomotive was a large field of hundreds (thousands?) of individually potted poppies. Read moreThis park may be nice but no one talk about parking lots for this park. We made two attempts from Ottawa West first time on Canada Day could not find parking and returned home. Second time made another attempt but found parking way too much costly it is like they are charging you for the entry pass in parking fee of $20. I saw many motorists returned as $20 was too much for them for parking only. Really don't know if Govt or Parks Canada aware of this parking fee. We were very disappointed seeing businesses around this park were making money out of parking. Also the parking lot assigned for the park was badly managed with long queue waiting to pay that $20...but we would never go to public park with $20 parking fee. Such a big country but no...
