I am shocked that I have to leave a bad review. I am a long term Tim's customer and will continue to be. However, the manager at this branch really should undergo further training in customer service.
I came to this location today evening with my family. My mom had wanted a birthday cake donut. I had never heard of this type of donut before. Unbeknownst to me, the birthday cake donut was mislabelled on their shelf as the "strawberry fill" donut.
So, based on the improper labelling, I ordered the strawberry fill donut, with the intention that it would be the birthday cake one. We got our orders in our bags and ofcourse didn't bother to look inside. My mom is not the type of person to bring up that the wrong order was given. She had eaten most of the donut fairly quickly, and was about to take her final bite, when we noticed that she was given the wrong donut. No problem, I told her that I would still get her the donut she had wanted, maybe she could eat it later. I went up to the manager who was at the front. He was very surprisingly confrontational. He kept on saying "you ordered a strawberry fill and that's what I gave you". He acknowledged that his labelling on his shelf was incorrect. I was merely ordering the donut which was incorrectly labelled as strawberry fill. Despite acknowledging that he messed up the labelling, he said that he would need to charge me for another donut. He then stormed off, turned his back to me, and proceeded to ignore me. He then started addressing customers in line that were after me. 2 seperate customers were equally baffled by his confrontational and rude behaviour, even though it was his fault for the improper labelling. 2 customers informed him that his labelling for the donut was wrong. I asked him "sir are you doing okay?" to which he quickly and angrily responded with "Yea I am! Are you doing okay??" My jaw was to the ground with shock. I cannot believe that he tried to blame me for his own labelling mistake. His level of hostility was shocking. I visit Tim Hortons on a daily basis, and I love their company. I have never encountered someone with such poor customer service skills at Tim Hortons. Tim's has always been a safe place to go to and I really hope that management are able to review this case and take necessary action to address the...
Read moreMy dad is a rotational worker and flies into Halifax once a month. Every time I go to pick him up at 9:30pm, I stop into this Tim Hortons. After flying all day, my dad is starving and wants a bacon grilled cheese melt, but every single time I am told that the grill is being cleaned. Another time I ordered two sandwiches and they only made me one, so I had to get them to make me another one and waited a long time for it. Most recently, I got there at 9pm and needed to use the washroom, but they closed the dining room and I couldn't even go in to use the washroom. You'd think that being by the airport that they'd always have their washroom open. Flights get in at all times of the day and night, so they need to have their whole menu available at all times! Also, this Tim's is always FILTHY! I understand that all Tim's locations are dealing with a staffing shortage, but this Tim's needs a new manager and should increase the wages of their staff so there can be better service. My poor dad just wants his bacon grilled...
Read moreWorst Tim Hortons ever. After arriving from a late delayed flight, we went to the only place near our hotel with food and were surprised to find that at 11:30pm, there were only 2 staff working for a busy restaurant and a drive-thru. There was no chicken for wraps, no potato fries and a very poor selection of pastries. We were told by the very pleasant, but very overworked staff, that there are always only 2 people scheduled in the evening so they are unable to cook many of the food items. Since they are open 24 hours, I asked them when they would next be serving chicken (grilled or breaded for their sandwiches) and they said tomorrow morning at 10am! The restaurant was full of people looking for food. An airport staff member said that they often can't get food there on the night shift because it is so understaffed. Surely another staff member would pay for themselves with the added revenue from sandwiches. Ridiculous. I hope the franchise owner is held accountable for...
