**REVIEW DONE PRIOR TO AUG 2024 AND NOW UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT** This is a real gem in the community. It's the kind of place all those restaurant rescue shows try to achieve: do a few things with quality ingredients, top notch service and do them well. My mom lives in town and I was born and raised here in Gold River. While I've dined in a few times, I've not taken the time to review. Tonight we both opted for pizza. I'm a self-proclaimed pizza addict and since I'm also a workaholic in my real life when I'm not visiting my mom, pizza is an important food group for me. My favorite joint in Vancouver was sold several months back and I hadn't had a good pie. Until today. Cheese and toppings to the edge? Check. Cheese browned? Check. Those are my 2 basic criteria and obviously taste. Hot damn these pizza's were so dang good but being a glutton by nature, I showed restraint to my mom and decided to only partake in 3 pieces (will eat the rest tonight). Prices are as expected for quality food and the service was attentive without being intrusive. Our server was just genuinely nice and had a positive attitude. Oh, and a cocktail menu? Yes please next time! Can't wait for my next visit. Gold River folks, you got a real winner here.

I came here on a holiday weekend because almost every other place was closed. This place would also have been closed because the staff were on vacation, but the owner drove from Campbell River to open the place up and cook and serve the meals by herself. I ordered the chicken Caesar wrap and it was delicious! The owner made me a custom dessert upon request as well as brewing up coffee just for me (it was in the afternoon), which was very nice of her. I did hear some other people complaining about the menu (seemed like picky eaters...). It got me thinking about gratitude. I was ever so grateful to be given the opportunity to enjoy a delicious meal prepared for me with love (in Gold River which is essentially on the other side of "the middle of nowhere") while sitting outside on the patio looking at the beautiful wilderness around me. I was also grateful that the owner cared enough about her business and customers to drive more than an hour to work by herself instead of taking time off (like the snobbish, picky eaters).

I came here for a business trip and was a bit worried of where to eat in Gold River. I'm glad I found this place and was really impressed with their pizza. I ordered the Three Little Pig pizza. Most importantly it's real cheese!!!I'm not sure why there were some bad reviews with the customer service. The lady was very friendly. I would definitely come back again if I'm in the area.

I’ve been to countless restaurants in over 30 countries and this was by far the worst service I have ever experienced. We ordered and paid for four meals (which was a painstaking process as 1/4 of the main items were not available and they said no to one request because they forgot it was on their menu), but when they finally brought the food out they only gave us two meals. When we politely asked if the other two meals were coming, the waitress explained she’d forgotten to put the other two orders through to the kitchen… then did nothing about it. Ten minutes later we spoke to her again and again politely asked if our meals were coming now and she again explained her mistake. Only then did it occur to her to ask us what we had ordered so she could put the order into the kitchen. When the next two meals arrived half an hour later the food was almost inedible. At no point did we get an apology. Others around us were having similar experiences. Would not...
