Greco Pizza — Restaurant in Grand Falls-Windsor

UPDATE: Was banned from the store for daring to complain to corporate. Used to be an extremely regular customer, often ordered once every week. Never again.

Placed an order on the website. Got the order and it was wrong. No big deal, right? They'll just replace it. Nope! The manager on duty at 9pm on May 11, 2021 "kindly" informed me that because it was an online issue, they would neither replace the pizza nor refund the order, even with video evidence of me placing the order properly online and even with me up front stating that I'd be happy to return the incorrect pizza. He said that my only hope of getting the correct pizza was to talk to the owner directly whenever they were around or to call corporate. After a few minutes of arguing over Greco's error, I stated that I wanted a refund and he finally said that I'd have to return the pizza, something I had offered to do within the first ten seconds of the call and had repeated multiple times. Fine. Only then when I went in to complain and showed the video that I'd already stated on the phone that I was happy to show them did they finally agree to replace my pizza with what I'd ordered, nearly an hour after I'd ordered it. So disappointed. Raved about Greco to my daughter as a place to try while in NL and every part of the experience was a huge disappointment. The service was so slow and communication was weak between staff. One staff member was complaining she was bleeding and couldn't work but then proceeded to put on gloves and work. Front staff were not friendly or welcoming and moved at a snail pace. We ordered pizza and donairs - they made the donairs right away and they sat for ½ hour while we waited for pizza - which turned out uncut and burnt. Staff need some leadership and direction. Travelers beware, this pizza joint is nothing like what your use to everywhere else it is offered. I have ate many fine pizza's of Greco many of times on and off the island. But here, it's thrown together pizza and sloppy service. Many disappointments from ordering here, from having family let down as what I described in other stores and as well extreme skimping on toppings compared to other Greco's. I can only recommend it for poor students for those half off days. Only then is the pizza worth it, and some times I question it then. Save your money and...
