Wayne's World Pub & Eatery — Restaurant in Grand Falls-Windsor

So I am told that I MUST see Gros Morne National Park before I leave Newfoundland by some locals. So, rent a car from St John's to Gros Morne and away we go!

I wanted to stop in Gander, but with some energy, I keep it moving till I get to Grand Falls. Coming into town, I get into this bar with no expectations.

Part owner Dorothy served me. She had a very local charm to her which was cool to an outsider like me.

Bar (as per reviews on here) doesn't always seem to be super busy, but I came here for food and got this HUGE burrito with fried rice. Perfect! It was so large I was able to make 2 meals out of it. One half on the spot, half for after my hike in Gros Morne.

If you are driving from St John's to Gros Morne, I totally can recommend this place for a stop. Some local charm and large portions.

I ordered the chicken burrito. On the menu, it is listed to have chicken, cheese, celery, tomatoes, and onions. It came as a soupy mess and the fries were served on the same plate in a pile of liquid. The tortilla shell was burnt and covered in grease, and the fresh cut fries were soggy and soaked in the disgusting liquid that was pouring out of the burrito. The restaurant was completely empty, and our waitress still took forever to get our drinks. When I told her that I didn’t enjoy my meal and I’d like it taken off the bill, she said only half of it would be comped because the fries were gone. I threw the fries out because they were that soggy and soaked in the tomato liquid that they weren’t edible, they had turned into squishy mashed potato liquid. Terrible service and...

Placed a order and when it came out it wasn’t what I ordered. The waitress went back to correct this but came back and said the cook will only make my food if I pay for the food she just made?????. So the cook made the wrong food and then wanted me to pay for that plus the correct order. I’ve never in my life heard of this, why would I pay for something I never ordered. Terrible service.
