Flavor 19 — Restaurant in Grand Lake Road

I’ve been here twice now, the first time was great but unfortunately this time was not. I ordered the chicken parm and the pasta was cold when it was brought out to me. The chicken was extremely thin and dry and had way too much breading. As well the sauce tasted bad and the noodles tasted reheated. We also saw someone else send theirs back. Our service was also bad. My girlfriend and I waited 20 minutes when we were done for our waitress to come back to our table, we saw her looking over at us and ignoring us we had our plates pushed away from us with napkins on them. What stood out at Flavor 19 was the amazing service we got from Michelle. She was quick to greet us at the door, super friendly and attentive the whole time. She always filled our water, made conversation, and we never had to wait too long between courses!

The Greek souvlaki pita was delicious and so was the macaroni and cheese with crispy chicken. Really enjoyed cheesecake dessert too (only pic I took). Portions did feel a bit smaller than expected given the price but still satisfactory. Decor of Flavor 19 felt a little bit dated… I expected a more modern restaurant. Did not affect my experience though. Overall I would go back, there are so many great things on the menu it was so...

I don’t usually care to write reviews but when you go into a restaurant with only 1 table of 6-8 to serve plus us and after 40 minutes since taking your order your food isnt there (Which was only burgers) I think you guys should be aware of it before coming here. Their burgers are good but they aren’t wait an hour good. I ended up having to leave to pick my daughter up from gymnastics and grab McDonalds. My wife waited and got our food to go because our 2 year old son wasn’t going to stay entertained all day. Thank god Flavor is in Cape Breton because it would be dead in the water in a major city.
