Shoeless Joe's Sports Grill — Restaurant in Greater Napanee

We went there for a bite to eat after a local event on Feb 8th around 9:00 pm. There was a group of 9 of us and we wanted to extend our ladies night a bit and get something to eat and a couple of drinks. We are a group of mostly moms and we were excited to be out for the night and be able to spend time together. No one was overly drunk or disruptive, just a group of ladies having a fun time.

Once we were seated our waitress immediately had an additude and we could tell she was not interested in assisting us that evening but we were polite and carried on with our night. The people who were drinking (6 out of 9) ordered 1 drink each and a couple of people ordered one shot. We all ordered some food. She visited our table a couple of times to bring cuterly she forgot to provide. Eventually she came up to our table and rudely stated that she would not be serving our table anymore alcohol as she was uncomfortable. The ladies who were drinking had only had one drink so we asked why and she refused to give a reason and just walked away from us. We called the manager over who apologize profusely for her behaviour, but stated he was unable to assist because she could refuse to serve anyone if she wanted to. He admitted that she was new and likely being overly cautious. We let him know that we were being safe, and no one that was consuming alcohol was driving and that we had pre-arranged designated drivers, pointing out that three of us in fact had ordered only a non-alcoholic beverage. He eventually stated he would get each of us another drink, which we declined as it was obvious that the wait staff didn't want us there and we were made to feel like we were out of control, which was definitely not the case at all. There were other men there drinking and watching sport the entire time we were there, and they were not cut off. When we asked for our bill the wait staff were unprofessional and could not remember our orders and were seem peeking out from kitchen talking about us and then another waitresses came to ask how we wanted out bills divided. The original waitress came out again after several moments and we had to repeat what our orders were as she forgot who order what, even though. we had only order 1 drink each and a couple of us got an appetizer.

We are all from the kingston area and have never been treated like that at an establishment before. The lack of professionalism was evident and the lack of problem solving skills from the manager was...

I went to this restaurant, because quite frankly, it was close to my motel. There weren't a lot of options, which is understandable given it is a small town.

The patio was completely empty, and wasn't offered as an option, I would have preferred it given the inside was like sitting in a meat locker!!!

I ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu. The mashed potatoes were great. The Chicken was WAY overcooked. Unfortunately, they appeared to be short of staff. The waitress didn't come by to check on my meal, and I was starving. I ate about 40% of it. When she did ask, I advised her of the issue. She said "yeah sometimes it gets a bit overcooked as the have to deep fry it to ensure it is cooked thoroughly!!"

Really, your cook, (I'll use that term as opposed to chef, because a chef would KNOW how to prepare, this item). She did say, "I'll let my manager know". But, again being run off her feet, (she was servicing 1/2 of the restaurant, as well as pouring drinks). Not sure why that was I seen 2 other ladies, and a gentleman, (who seemed to be the manager), working the other half. She never did speak to the manager.

I would have expected a manager to address the issue.

So, overall, a VERY disappointing experience with this...

Came in on a Sunday with my wife for the anniversary around 6:30pm. after being sat we waited 15 mins for a server and then the host to come up to us and ask if we had been looked after, we said no, and she apologized and said the sever would be right over, after waiting ANOTHER 10 mins, our server comes over with a mono- tone voice and says “what would you like to drink”. So we tell him our drink order and he walked away, we waited another 10 mins for our drinks to come then we finally could order, after ordering the food and getting it a party came in and experienced the same experience, they sat for about 10 mins then finally had a sever come to them and then they complained that they had to wait super long for someone to come refill their drinks. Just an awful experience. My food was also pretty gross I got ribs which were basically cold on the inside and luke warm outside, my tenders that came with were super greasy and the fryer oil needs to be cleaned or changed and my fries were just super salty. I haven’t ate out in the restaurant in over a couple months and this was the worst service and food by far recently. The server we had was Dustin and he needs to learn about priorities and find a new job...
