Visited Tamworth from Toronto on a short weekend cabin trip, and this bakery/cafe was my favourite spot. It felt so homey, but the open kitchen when you enter made it look and feel like those early 2010's Food Network tv kitchens. The display of pastries and desserts was full of different things, and it was a bit inconvenient having to point at a plate and ask "what's this" because nothing was labelled, but it was still manageable. We got the coconut brownie and raspberry cheesecake and both were good but the brownie was too sweet and the chocolate layer on top was too hard to break off properly with a fork. The pear and prosciutto flatbread was delicious and my sister also said the Caesar chicken sandwich was delicious. Service was friendly and quick as well, and it was a nice place to sit and chat for a while. I wish I had gotten more pastries to go!

Discovered this gem while taking my grandson to the doctor. At least three kinds of brownies, chocolate peanut butter squares..., and she was dipping strawberries in chocolate to put on top of mini cheesecakes when I arrived! Very friendly and yummy choices. Worth checking out!

Enjoyed a lovely lunch and dessert at the Blue Door! The food was excellent, dessert....oh, way too much LOL! Friendly server and owner added to the pleasant experience. So cool that there's a book shelf featuring books from the Tamworth Book Store!
