My recent visit to Tim Hortons left me incredibly disappointed with the level of customer service I received. Unfortunately, I cannot help but speculate that the unpleasant treatment I encountered was possibly influenced by my race. I hate to make such an assumption, but given the stark contrast to my friend's experience, who happens to be white, it becomes difficult to ignore.
From the moment I entered the establishment, I did not receive any sort of greeting or acknowledgement. The lack of initial interaction persisted throughout my time at the counter, where I had to take the initiative to speak to the clerk, who clearly displayed disinterest in assisting me. This disheartening experience extended beyond the clerk, as both the Tim's staff and the employees of the convenience store seemed to avoid initiating any form of conversation. Instead, I was met with lingering unpleasant looks, which only added to my discomfort.
Interestingly, my friend, who accompanied me, had a different experience. They noticed the lack of enthusiasm among the staff but attributed it to them not being excited about working on a Sunday. It is disheartening to think that such a discrepancy in treatment could be attributed to something as arbitrary as the day of the week.
In conclusion, it pains me to say that my initial excitement for visiting this Tim Hortons quickly turned into disappointment due to the lack of customer service and the overall unwelcoming demeanor exhibited by the employees. While I can only speculate about the reasons behind this treatment, the stark contrast to my friend's experience and the possibility of racial bias leave a bitter taste in my mouth. It is my hope that Tim Hortons takes proactive steps to address these concerns and ensure that all customers, regardless of their background, are treated with the respect and courtesy...
Read moreI waited ten minutes att the cash register i left empty handed why is it the staff Is so focused on the window instead of the customer's that got out of their car and walked in at the cash register they should be the ones being served first than the window people they're not the ones that got out of the car and walked in what really puzzles me they were full of staff so they were definitely not short so why is it that I had to wait at the cash register for 10 minutes and then I just decided to walk out the managers need to do better split your staff up a bit 2. People at the cash register dealing with the customers inside and two people at the window believe me, it would be better that way because as I was a manager at a tim hortons at a very high pace area in oakville we always had 2 people at the cash register doing orders and 2 people. Or more at the window that's how I. Kept all my customers happy. No, wait whatsoever at the cash. Register and no wait at the window as well you guys need to teach your staff how to work as a team. Because I don't see teamwork there. Whatsoever everyone is just all over the place and teamwork is the secret to success for any business in the food industry i just emailed Joshua Kobza CEO of tim hortons about this and hopefully this can change on the corporate level as so many more tim hortons do this but there are so many that don't do this either because of proper staff scheduling and teamwork so how I see things customers That actually got out of their cars and go in at the cash register should be served first the problem at this location.I think it's because of lack of teamwork and also the lack of placing the staff they're just all...
Read moreThe manager Carole Blais decided to confront me at the drive thru window this morning with some nasty choice of words because her daughter and my best friend are going through a custody battle. Telling me she spoke to the owner and trespassed me for absolutely no reason. I was always kind with the staff there even with her standing there with her arms crossed trying to intimidate me. My 11 year old daughter was in my vehicle when she decided to lose her mind on me for serving court papers to her child, in a professional manner which I recorded and have video proof it went well. Extremely unprofessional, I have personally witnessed her flip out on other employees. She should not work in a professional establishment when she cannot mentally emotionally or physically keep her personal and work life separate. Super disappointed in my service, as I go there every morning and have had zero issues. I was a manager for a long time and wouldn’t treat anyone the way she does. The police have also been notified for the extremely awful behaviour she gave to myself and my child. Also Carole if you’re reading this, don’t have other staff members fight your battles you could have finished your conversation with me. Slamming down the debit machine and slamming the...
