We have been ordering from Alexandra’s for years. I often ask myself why after all of the mishaps that we’ve had with them.
Most times when we order we get delivery and most times something is always missing (pop or sauce to be specific). We have to wait for the driver to go all the way back and then return with our forgotten items as no other form of compensation is ever offered. I even began reminding them when I called in not to forget anything. Lots of times when we order it ends up coming very late. This was the case tonight. Finally, after an hour and a half of waiting I called and was told that it would be another half hour at least. I have a family of 4 and we were Friday night, fast food hungry so I told him to cancel as we were going to figure something else out. He proceeded with the reasons why (and there are always reasons why because heaven forbid any responsibility is taken on their part) and tried to convince me to wait. I asked if there would be any type of compensation for waiting so long (as other businesses - in my experience - would have offered by now…save 5%, free pop, coupons for next time…something) but nothing...just to wait on their mistake…again. I asked why they didn’t call (as the phone number is given for a reason), and was told “I can’t call each customer!”
There is never any customer service from this location (I can’t speak to other locations). It is very frustrating! After 10 years of this we are officially done with Alexandra’s. It is bittersweet as their food is quite delicious, however, I’m finished supporting them and will take my business elsewhere. Feeing like I’m being yelled at and the defensiveness that is consistently shown for their inadequacies is not ok…for any business. I realize times are hard for a lot of businesses right now but even if they at least recognized and took responsibility for their mistake (this time or any time previously), it would have been something. I probably would have even kept my order and just waited. I’d like to say it’s been a slice, but it...
Read moreFirst time eating here. They charge 6$ for small donair and pop, plus tax. 6.90, but they charge you 7$. Decided to buy med donair for $10 plus tax. Figured I would get more for my lunch. 10$ donair is big when I have had it in other restaurant locations. NOT HERE. It was the size of a small. I have eaten at a lot of donair places, and you usually get alot of meat for $10. Yes, I went back in and complained after I opened up this light bagged meal in my car. She apologized by saying telling what the weight of med donair should be. The meat was not cooking on the spindle either, apparently it was shaved earlier (yesterday maybe). I felt the sauce was not very good, but this and my other problems are from my view point anyways. I had asked for onions and tomatoes and sauce all together. The sauce was separate, in two little containers and very cold. I figured she would have added in with the donair....
