Resto Pub Witsend — Restaurant in Hemmingford (village)

We were going to the canne des Boise campgrounds to spend the day, and decided to stop at the wise end for lunch. We arrived exactly at 12:05 and placed our order. After 40 minutes we asked the waitress how much longer, and after telling us there was a group of 30 people that had just been served, she told us no more than 5-10 minutes. After another half hour of waiting, she brought me a toasted hamburger bun with vegetable oil, ???? I asked her What it was, and she told us it was a snack, while we were waiting for our meal. By then it was just after 2:00 p.m, two hours after we ordered, I just said cancel the order and bring me my bill for the drinks, and she yelled at us, for that. The rude and obnoxious behaviour from that employee was the worst customer service I’ve ever had. We left and went to burger bobs as we were starving. At that point it was too late to continue on with our plans to enjoy the day at the beach and the pool. At 3:30 we headed back to Montréal. Short staffing made it a 10 minute wait just to get a menu and while about 10 customers lined up to pay their tab it was another 10 minute wait. Just as I was about to leave a nice server asked what I wanted. I saw the fish and chips and to say they looked greasy and overcooked was an understatement. A simple cheeseburger with bacon medium rare was ordered. A short while later out came the dish. I know hockey is popular in Canada but seriously that’s about what I was served. This is one of the most homely joint I have ever been to. The staff is friendly , the food is by all metric delicious and worth the price. The portion are very generous, which adm8tedly plays with the price but i cannot stress this enough, you will get your moneys worth!

This biegn said i feel a small warning is needed, do not go there expecting to shell out judt 15$ fof the meal . I am not saying it is not possible mind you, a nachos which is an appetizer will fill you just fine but, let's face it you aren't in an irish pub .
