1st time at this restaurant i love the way his son treated us when taking the order we ordered 2 things and one of them is chicken shawarma i never had that bad shawarma a day in my life didn’t cooked well feels like eating raw chicken. I get back to the restaurant just to let them know also waited outside the restaurant for 10-15 minutes because the customers were inside and i don’t want to tell them anything publicly but the way he treated I don’t like that he literally cooked raw chicken on grill in front of me but he told me that’s how it’s been made. I think i was going at the wrong stores than to get the shawarma. Also the 2 stars i gave is for the customer service his son provided.

Love this place and visit each time I come to Halifax! I always get the seafood platter which is absolutely delicious and more than enough for two to enjoy. The owner and staff are super friendly and there is seating both inside and out. The deserts look amazing but I have yet to try any. That's my friend Mel (in the photo) ~ she helped with the platter 😋

A great little stop, it has a small dining area, we dined in. The staff are friendly and the service was fast. We ordered the Seafood Platter to share. It was fresh, lightly battered, and tasty enough. There was more than enough for the two of us. Prices are average.

Ordered food here at 10:30 pm because we were hungry from our lackluster dinner and thank God we did!! The donairs here are so filling! Very generous with the meat. The sauce we got on the side thankfully because it is very very sweet. Overall a satisfying late night meal.

Update: We came back this morning because it was the only place open near us at 11:00 AM and the man serving us was not only friendly but fast! A 'small' sub is not small! It's about 9 inches long and my husband's was the 'large' which was about 12 inches! I had the chicken breast sub and it was generously stuffed as well as my husband's cold cut. We are regulars and we have not once been disappointed. My family visits from United States and all over Canada and each time they come, we always order from Now We're Cooking!!! best clams and chips and awesome pizza! Donairs as well ROCK!!!

The only thing that I wish....is that the NOT so nice grey haired guy that always sits behind the counter at the convenience store next door is the most unfriendly person I have ever met.....sorry, but I am not the first to comment on that......too bad he didn't take lead from Mike......Mike is so wonderful and friendly and then to go over into the store to not even a grunt when you say hello!
