Ate both dinner and breakfast here over the course of our 2 night stay at the Somerset Resort. The restaurant is very clean and inviting and the service is great.
Our server for dinner, Ruth, also made the dishes herself with home made recipes. When we inquired she also stated she helped put some of the menu together too!
We had home made cream of broccoli soup and French roast sandwiches the first night, and home made butternut squash soup and chicken quesadillas the second along with the classic breakfast and smart start smoothie for breakfast that day.
The meals were better than my expectations and I am so happy we stayed in vs going into Bancroft for a meal. You can tell everything was freshly prepared and it shows through the taste too.

My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights at the somerset lakeside resort and having a restaurant on the property is a huge plus since most restaurants around bancroft close early. We weren't rushed to get back to go for dinner.
Ruth's homemade soups are fantastic! 10/10 would recommend to anyone staying especially during fall.
Night 1 we got the French dip sandwich to share and each got a bowl of cream of broccoli soup. Walked away both happy and full.
Night 2 we had butternut squash soup (holy moly it was so good!) And we shared a quesadilla. Again walked away very happy and full.

   Read moreWe stayed and ate here for breakfast a few days ago and although the atmosphere was great and the lake view is amazing the option were a little limited. I found the price to be high and the overall quality of the food to be low. The potatoes were really dry and old, clearly not rotated, eggs were crusted on top, and not really worth the price of 22 dollars. That’s even before tax and tip.
Would defiantly think about coming back for dinner as it seems like they have...
