Attn: CEO Frank DiBendetto
I am writing to express my displeasure with the lack of response from Matt - the manager at Ricky’s restaurant in Hope.
On Sunday, June 29th I entered the establishment for breakfast. The waitress, hostess and cook were wonderful to interact with and the food was good. I inquired about the server vacancy and was advised it was still available and Matt would be the person to contact.
The following day, I drafted my resume and emailed it to Matt on July 1st. - no response.
Thursday the 3rd. I wrote a follow up letter and for added measure called and got voice mail. So, I left a message - no response.
Saturday the 5th. I called and spoke with a staff member. I explained to him that I have been trying to connect with Matt. He stated that he doesn’t work on weekends and offered to pass on my message and give it to him on Monday (7th)
Still no response.
Tuesday 8th. 14:39 hours. I called requesting to speak with Matt. I was advised that he works between 10:00-14:00 hours and my message would be forwarded to him - no response.
Thursday 10th. At this point I decided to compose this letter to you and state my extreme displeasure by the lack of courtesy, professionalism, and response by Matt. I had a simple request: “is the position vacant”?, if so, “I would like an opportunity for an interview.”
Two simple questions that would warrant a few moments of his time to respond. His lack to response speaks volume and his unacceptable conduct as a manger reflects poorly on your company.
I realize by submitting this letter diminishes any chance of employment at the restaurant. At this point I am moving on. However, I feel, from a customer service standpoint, it’s relevant that you be aware of this situation and my needs can be cast aside. I am a strong believer is customer service, no matter the circumstance and a proponent of open communication.
PS: I tried to reach the corporate office. Good luck trying to reach reception. The recording states office hours for 8 am to 4 pm. Well, it’s 9:46 right now and I have been trying since 8:00.
Such BS since I am calling to acquire the email address of the CEO to register a formal complaint. How ironic, now I will include the reception (lack thereof) to the letter.
One way or another, the CEO Frank DiBendetto will receive my...

I will start with some standard information:
I ordered the classic breakfast with bacon and cubed hashbrowns. Roughly $17 after taxes. Takeout. Online order.
Portions to cost is pretty fair. Quality of the actual food is decent for what you're paying.
However:
Scrambled eggs should be scrambled; mine were crepe thin and then sliced which both took away from the taste and ease of eating which seems like a weird complaint, I am sure, but scrambled eggs should be fluffy and fat/dense. The thinness and rate in which the eggs were cooked changed the texture and flavour from fluffy eggs to overcooked, strips of rubber that kept falling off the fork. Lol
The flavour of the maple bacon was there but marred both by a strange 'metallic' or grill like aftertaste and overcooked just a touch. More like jerky than crispy or chewy bacon. But quality bacon if prepared a little better.
The cubed potatoes were delicious...but (and I'm sorry for so many "buts") nowhere in the options when ordering, does it indicate they are prepared with peppers [or onions] and for me, I would have opted out of these if I had known.
I managed to enjoy the potatoes that didn't have the veggies near/on them, despite the persistent and overpowering peppers taste. I'm personally just not a cooked peppers fan. I'm sure people who do like them would thoroughly, genuinely enjoy them though.
Some of my review is based on personal preferences. So take that as you may.
I firmly believe that restaurants should do better at creating transparent and fully informative menus so that customers can decide before spending [or subsequently wasting] money [and food] on items that are prepared differently than described.
The location itself was clean, tables were full (so busy place at the time) and the waitress who greeted me and grabbed my food was kind, smiling and quick! Service and atmosphere are 100% on point. The location is also nestled at the base of some beautiful mountains and very scenic.
I will definitely give this place a second try, but might opt for different items...
Read moreAs soon as we arrived the waitress seemed like actually serving us was a chore beyond her. The food, what's happened to basic logic. My so called lumberjack poutine had sauce so thick it clumped my fries together like a horror flick and too salty to enjoy. My wives so called lasagna was sad, no sauce and it was burned from being warmed up. The salad that came with it had a few leafs on top fresh covering the brown old under it. For $21.00 what a shame. But the worse is the way the waitress treated our deaf daughter. Our daughter ask what was available for drinks in which the waitress rolled her eyes and with a cynical laugh walked away.Normally I speak out towards such ignorance but my wife did 1st and said where is the drinks in the menue in which this waitress stopped, turned around rolling her eyes and said its not in there and walked away. I should of left with my family and not wasted $75 on bad food and a ignorant waitress. We will never return . We'd rather buy burritos from a corner store and eat it in the rain under highway over pass. And we will be informing our family, friends and colleagues of our experience there. Shame on them and you for giving this person a job to try to humiliate someone 1st with bad food then more so with no intelligence to know better and not insult a customer especially one that was just being decent who happened...
