Just Us! Grand Pré Café & Roastery — Restaurant in Hortonville

I was in here on a Saturday between 4:30-5:30pm. When I arrived my order was taken promptly, nobody ahead of me or a line up. There were a couple people after me just buying coffee beans no drinks. The person taking orders at the cash was very friendly. There was one young lady making coffees,lattes etc and one other gentleman doing other things. Seemed like a supervisor as he assisted on cash a couple times. As I waited for my one Iced coffee I quickly noticed there were about 6 people standing about actually waiting for their orders as well. On numerous occasions the lady preparing would set a drink on the counter and say what it was and then proceed to making the next drink, not really ensuring the right drink was going to the right customer. One cappuccino sat on the counter as I am pretty sure the person who ordered it got fed up and left. I waited for over 35 minutes for ONE iced Latte. The reason I waited was I wanted to observe what was happening. This lady had no help. She did also take an extremely long extended time making each individual drink to the point it was just excessive. Two customers that were there together ordered the same thing, 2 coffees the same. She put the milk away and all things each time instead of making both at the same time. Now from a business perspective I have to say to the owner, this should probably be addressed. Nothing wrong with a few minutes wait if it is actually busy for a coffee or what not but over 35 minutes for 1 coffee is beyond. Not the best for business. Unfortunately I won't be returning and can't recommend it. Unfortunate really because atmosphere, location,options are worthy for sure. The employees seemed nice enough however not at all concerned about promptness or customer satisfaction...

Came here this past weekend and ordered the Salted Caramel Latte. It was delicious. My wife ordered an iced vanilla latte and she really enjoyed hers as well. We also ordered a Ginger Molasses cookie to share and it was amazing.

The space is big and was very clean. There was a bit of a line up while we were there, which tells me it’s a popular place (always a good sign).

The lady that took our order was very friendly, but the barista who made our drinks could have been a bit friendlier. I don’t know if it was because she was having a bad day or not, but when she called out my order, I watched her slam my drink down and the foam from my latte came up through the cup lid and I had to wipe it off, because she had no intentions to. She also made zero eye contact and did not respond when I thanked her.

Overall we enjoyed our drinks and cookie to go.

They do have a museum that we wanted to check out, but after the encounter with the barista, I did not feel like...

I recently visited Just Us coffee shop, and I have to say, I was really disappointed. The pace was incredibly slow, even during the busy morning rush when people are looking to grab their coffee and get on with their day. I’ve been to numerous coffee shops across the country, and none have matched this level of sluggishness, especially considering the size and location of this one.

The staff seemed to lack a sense of urgency, which was surprising. It felt like there was no real effort to accommodate customers who were clearly in a hurry. The atmosphere could be great, but the slow service really detracted from the experience.

I hope they can improve their efficiency because the quality of coffee could be overshadowed by the wait time. A little more focus on customer service and urgency would make a...
