It's pretty obvious the target market are tourists who have never had fresh seafood. It was absolutely inedible. The fish wasn't fresh and the batter was soggy and oily. The scallops and clams were not cooked long enough, pale soggy and somehow rubbery. Battered shrimp was the same as the fish, soggy and dripping with grease. The lobster I'm guessing was microwaved as it was hard and rubbery. It actually stuck together in a clump we had to peel apart. They didn't have any french fries so they offered other options. We chose potato skins and they actually upcharged us for it even though it was an inventory level error on their part. They weren't even cooked. Seafood chowder was bland and the cream had broken. Hard to tell how many times it had been re heated to cause that. The tarter sauce sat out unrefridgerated on the counter as a self serve option. We couldn't even eat more than a couple bites before we lost our appetite and left. 45 dollars for a seafood platter and chowder we couldn't even eat. Very disappointed.

We had visited this location on our last stay at White point. That was during the pandemic and sadly we couldn't exactly get the full experience. The food was great and everything then but driving back, it lost some of it's flavor. This time however we were able to eat inside and it was extremely fresh. My wife must have spoken about 10 minutes about how fresh and crunchy the fries were. The fish was so fresh it was extremely flaky and delicious. The kids enjoyed their hamburgers much better than they did last time. This is definitely a place where if you're going to eat here, you have to eat it as soon as they prepare it. There's a night and day difference between eating at the location when the food is fresh versus eating after about 20 minutes of driving. The food is absolutely phenomenal

The food was great! At first glance I contemplated to keep driving but I was so hungry I decided to get over my judgement of the exterior. I have had many seafood chowders in my life but most of the time many places chintz out and fill the soup with potatoes. But this place had so much fresh fish, mussels, scallops, and shrimp in this soup that it was so filling! You can’t find that in any other place where they give you a real seafood chowder. The ladies working behind the counter were really friendly and knew most people coming in by their names. I also had the scallop burger and it was loaded with flavor! So I would say this to anyone considering this place, or even second guessing it - don’t judge it by its appearance because the food is amazing and the desserts are even better!

We will never go back to seaside seafoods in Hunts point NS seafood chowders. Potatoes not cooked. Another missing fish it was mainly uncooked potatoes. Tasted awful/former yrs recipe was Not used. Missing several key ingredients. We Called re the awful chowders. The owner was to be told as well as the 2nd cook. Next day we Called again to see if a new batch was made. Went back next day as was assured it was a new batch and the old recipe. It was Not! Then older heavy woman with painted makeup and black hair was "very rude and insulting". Such bad customer service by 2 employees. Factual constructive customer feedback is not welcome. We gave them a chance to correct it discretely with customer feedback but it was definitely not welcome. Bad staff is no staff and the ta woman with short red/ brown hair was also a bad employee and did something rude. The evening before there was a sweet young woman serving icecream who gave excellent customer service. She is a good example. It was two horrible experiences on two consecutive days and not the chowders recipe we had for years. We will...

My family lives 2 mins away and each week we look forward to our Seaside Seafoods Sunday Supper!

We’ve tried everything (Mom LOVES their club sandwich because they add the most delicious house-made chicken salad to it!)

2pc fish with mash and peas is my fave! But they make a wonderful comfort food hot juicy turkey sandwich with mash and peas and THE BEST gravy!

We only feel sad that they are soon to close until next season!! Thank you to the crew at Seaside Seafoods for your awesome suppers and INSANE AMAZING PIES!! If you’re lucky enough to get one before they sell out, consider yourself super lucky!

Oh! and the coffee soft serve is THE BEST and the biggest cone you will ever find, they serve such a generous amount!

Please understand they are wonderful people in a very popular local restaurant and are just trying their best to give you awesome lunches and suppers so please be kind and patient in their busy times! It’s well worth the wait! ——Jenn,...
