Ate here yesterday for a special occasion and it was a wonderful experience! We started with the crab cakes which were a perfect starter for two people and came with a heavenly remoulade! Had a hard time choosing between a number of tasty-sounding specials but ended up getting the salmon with scallops and creole sauce. The sauce was creamy with the right amount of bite, and the salmon and scallops were cooked perfectly! The potatoes looked good but tasted even better, and the veg was tender and well-seasoned. We were also offered bread with a lovely chive butter that paired well with our meals. husband got the chicken and waffles- the chicken was done katsu style and was so moist and flavourful, and the fries were good enough to eat plain! Cocktails and martinis were to our liking and even though I had no room for dessert my husband loved the peanut butter pie. Service was great, the space was beautiful, and we will for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAs a fishermanās daughter from PEI, Iāve had my fair share of great seafood, and I can confidently say that FIG offers the best seafood Iāve had east of PEI! Chef Dave and his partner/wife Veronika and their wonderful team consistently deliver top-notch food, with fresh, flavorful ingredients. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, making it a perfect spot for my husband and I to unwind and enjoy a great meal. What stands out to me, is the respect and care they show to their staff. It's clear that this is a place where people love to work, and that positive energy is reflected in the service. This restaurant is a true hidden gemādelicious, consistent, and run with heart. Highly recommend for anyone passing through our Ripley or lucky enough to live nearby! Note: Be sure to make a...

The starter Caesar salad was extremely dry even after we asked for additional dressing. There wasn't any parmesan cheese or croutons or bacon or anything other than a plate of shredded Romaine. I was also disappointed in my main as it was also extremely dry. It was advertised as being a brisket Rueben Style but there was no mustard, no sauce, no sauerkraut just some dried out burnt thinly sliced corned beef brisket on a pretzel bun. On a positive note the fries were really good and the coffee mug was a generous size. I felt they should have comped the salad as we were upfront about our disappointment but only apologies were given. I...
