Engine House Café — Restaurant in Killaloe, Hagarty and Richards

We were standing in line waiting for our order to be taken, when other customers arrived and stepped in front of us. We politely mentioned that we had not yet ordered, and I noted the barista could clearly see we had been waiting to place our order, however this couple went ahead with their order and then we ordered. ($17 for two medium lattes). The second order was larger, involving food. The barista made the second order first, while we stood there waiting for our drinks. Overall it took about 15 minutes to get two lattes, and when we asked if he had forgotten, the barista said “there are customers ahead of you”.

While we love supporting small local businesses, poor customer service ruins the experience. I’ll give the barista this, he did mutter “sorry for the wait” as another barista came out from the back.

It would have been nice if the barista had acknowledged that we had arrived first and had been waiting and managed the customer flow. We really didn’t enjoy...

I hate to say it but this is the perfect place for an introspective white gurl breakdown. If you know... you know. Vibe is Constitutional, man.... cough, woman. I want to engage in the patriarchy, now, and that's cool for me and my commie loving heart. I feel like a human being, here, and if you don't get it... well, you should straight to... God Bless you and you should go eat here to engage in the inclusive experience which is dining at this beautiful establishment.

Ohhhh ya....

Had the pleasure of eating here twice this past week and it was a true delight! The first day I tried there chicken melt and it was phenomal! Wholesome, fresh and beyond delicious! On my second occasion Engine House Cafe was willing to cater our Work Christmas Party and the meal was by far one of the best I have experienced! My fave was the vegetables.
