Just ordered a $75 meal for 4 here, EXTREMELY disappointed! MayMayInn used to be a great place to eat before they sold years ago.
Portion sizes are pathetic. We asked why they were so small and they said that they had been like that for 40 years. A few years ago the portion sizes were a lot larger!
We ordered a beef chow mein, and were extremely disappointed to find that it was a few pieces of beef, a whole load of bean sprouts and a tiny bag of fried, dry, crispy noodles. From my knowledge and any other Chinese restaurant chow mein is a noodle dish not a bean sprout dish - which is the chop suey. Called the restaurant back and they told us that the chow mein and chop suey were basically the same thing but the chow mein came with crispy noodles on the side.
The beef and broccoli was basically all broccoli with 6 pieces of beef mixed in with it. The chicken balls were tiny and basically all dough.
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED, would...
Read moreFood was pretty good. Dined in. Asked about getting a half order of something and the girl said they could do a half order but we have to pay full price. Getting the food was slow, one of us asked them to bring the wonton soup before the meal and then meal came first followed by the soup. Others at the table got soup before the meal. 5 out of 6 of us got food while one of us sat with nothing for quite some time before it came out. One of the meals ordered was beef, vegetables and almonds and they brought it out with cashews and never said a word. When asked why there were no almonds as shown on the menu the reply was "I'm sorry" we don't have almonds. Went to pay the bill with credit card and was told since we were paying by credit card there was a 2% fee. Debit would be a 10 cent fee. Don't most people pay by debit or credit these days? Although food wasn't to bad, the service was...
Read moreFour take-out dishes that taste the same. Beef Chow Mein was a container of fried skinny noodles and 6 slivers of beef that lay on top. That's it! I counted, six slivers of beef, entire dish quite tasteless. Schezwan (sizzling/spicy) beef was not much better, very large pieces of bland broccoli and onions for filler and this time 8 slivers of beef in dispersed within the deep orange broth, so now a dish with broth filler. This take out is a big bland veg, starchy or broth filler to make weight, with no taste. Veg Egg Foo Young continued the big veg filler trend with a side of chicken gravy that one gets at a diner. I thought it comes with a delicate oyster sauce. Terrible tasting chicken gravy, very glutenous. Veg fried rice was bland white rice, heavy on long green beans and onions to fill. Take a pass on this place. $54 dollars for a bland vegetables and...
