Breakfast was good. The pancake was a bit cold, but everything else was hot. My only Toujours Mikes experience ever. I was asked if I wanted an English menu but I felt like I should have just stuck with the French menu, it seemed that they were actually slightly different and there were a few more choices on the regular French menu at least that’s what I thought when I compared them. I like how they don’t just give you jam and jelly, but also peanut butter and caramel spread. The waitress was nice, but when I asked for an order of pancakes along with my breakfast plate she took it upon herself to give me one pancake as a side. It was a bit odd, but it turned out fine as I wasn’t hungry when I left. The pancake had an odd texture, it was thick like a pancake but with a crepe texture. Even with the issues I still liked the food and it was fine. I just would know to stick with regular breakfast items and not get the pancakes. The sausages were very good and the eggs cooked perfect. Potatoes were like O’Brien potatoes. And it came with a few small pieces of fruit. Toast pieces were huge.

We dropped by during a lunch break on an Intercar bus ride. Intercar seem to have an arrangement with Mikes for a special menu for the travelers to fit exactly in the time of the 45-minute stop, which is in itself a fantastic idea. But what is more the staff were very nice and cheerful and the food was great! Served in close to no time, the soup of the day was veggie and it was a proper chunky vegetable soup like you rarely see these days even in expensive restaurants, full of celery, carrot, green peas and red beans and other veggies. It came with a small fresh warm bread roll and butter and the table was equipped with plenty of extras like peanut butter and jam. The sous-marine (the sub sandwich) was also full of fresh veggies, some good meat and fried onions. It was accompanied by plentiful fries. What’s also important, the bathroom was clean and had everything necessary. We were very happy with our bus lunch break! Highly recommended either as a stop in your travels or simply to have a good meal.

We had lunch today and ordered Pesto Salmon with small pizza and regular fries. The total was $65 with tip. However, the Salmon plate was a complete disappointment (shown in the photo); the only somehow good in it, was that the Salmon was nicely seasoned and cooked with an okay pesto creamy sauce. The quantity in relevance to the price of the plate, which was close to $26, is a shame… a piece of Salmon barely 100g and cheap fries that almost filled the plate. I have been to this branch and the one at Baie St Paul several times over the past three years and every single time I notice the quantity and the quality of the food in correspondance with price decreases (prices increased significantly especially for the pizza). This was my last visit and I will never come back again.

In sum: large portions sizes (breakfast and lunch), reasonably priced and delicious. Courteous, friendly service.

We stopped by Mikes after my partner completed his 125 km race at Harricana (UTHC). He fell asleep on the table and our waitress was so sweet about it and put the dishes on the table quietly so as not to wake him 😅 Myself and my children had breakfast and my partner had a small portion of spaghetti bolognese before he passed out. The veggie omelette was delicious and the portion size was large, so I shared some of my food with my teenage son. Our daughter had the kids crêpes and my son had the adult crêpes. The waitress was sensitive to the needs of our autistic son and made sure all his toppings were separate. Great experience to top off our time in La Malbaie. We will definitely be back next time. Merci...
