Capital Pizza — Restaurant in Lake District

Awful experience. We ordered over Skip, half sriracha chicken, half chicken and pineapple only. We even called and said please make sure one side is only chicken and pineapple. As shown in the picture there were peppers and onions over the entire pizza. We were also missing the dipping sauce we paid for. When we called and asked if they could make the correct pizza while we drive over to exchange, their first response was: we didn't make a mistake. We said we asked for chicken and pineapple only on one side, there are peppers and onions on the whole pizza. They said, no there's not. After some back and forth they said they would not make us a new pizza because we ordered on Skip the Dishes. I don't mind the mistake, it's how rude the manager was and insisting they made no mistake. This actually happened a few months ago, the only other time we've ordered here. They put olives on the whole pizza instead of half. They actually did swap out the pizza for us, but refused to make it until they saw our pizza claiming they made no mistake. When they saw there were olives over the whole thing they said we weren't clear enough with our instructions. It was the same manager both times and I am appalled at how horrible with customer service she is, and how she has the audacity to outright blame the customer, even once proven wrong. I've been calling for days and leaving messages trying to reach the owner but have yet to get a hold of him. My mistake was trying this place a second time,...

This particular location of Capital Pizza tarnishes the reputation! The owner is creepy and watches the customers in the restaurant from behind the waitress station. He has been known to bully and berate his staff on the regular. I have been a part of a large group of people that visited this location every week, spending hundreds of dollars in pizzas, appetizers, pastas, etc in addition to some who only wanted to visit with the group and have coffee or soda’s.

Their pizza sauce is straight from a can, their toppings are luncheon meats, the crust soggy and they try to disguise the nastiness with way too much cheese. They will not accommodate with any substitutions on any of their items, which is a disgrace given the prices they charge! We were told outright that it was time for us to leave when there were other tables in the otherwise dead restaurant, still eating. In addition, when asking for coffee, were told on several occasions that they would not make any coffee for us because “it would be wasted”. When charging $3.00 per cup of coffee, the cost of a pot is made up with one cup sold...ridiculous. There is no minimum charge posted however, if a person wanted to pay via debit card for a beverage, we would be requested to put several bills together for one person to pay it all.

It’s a disgrace and subsequently, our group of 10-30 people has chosen to cease frequenting this Capital and we now take our business elsewhere. There are MUCH better steak and pizza places...

Hello I absolutely never leave bad reviews, but this time I was appalled by the situation that had occurred. My husband and I have been coming to this location over ten years always good service and friendly manager. a few days ago we decided to go for pizza, we drive from the west end to this location each time, always order the same half and half with no issues, this time my half got ham instead of pepperoni, unfortunately I really don’t like ham at all, ate 1.5 pieces and realized it really tasted off, so after looking and seeing I spoke to the waitress, the manager came out and expected his pleasant self, got a completely different side of him, blaming people that order half and half, that they were never doing that again, then getting mad at the waitress, asks us so what do you want? Some pieces of pepperoni? My husbands like well maybe a small in what she ordered, so he did, was rude the entire time, husband boxes up the rest of his half, get home to later have a piece of the remade pizza and completely raw, most nasty thing ever, I was so pist off. I had to throw the entire pizza out, so we paid for a large pizza and got half. we will absolutely never be returning especially after ten years of being customers to then get treated like that. They don’t deserve our business and see many have the same complaints as we do. keep this up and people will just go to a...
