We stumbled upon Featherstone Estate Winery after a lovely evening hike in the area. It was Canada Day, and most vineyard kitchens had already closed by the time we were looking for a spot — thankfully, Featherstone was still open and welcoming.
The estate itself is beautiful — open, airy, and quiet, tucked away from the main road with stunning vineyard views. The server was fantastic — knowledgeable and kind. She explained which wines pair best with each pizza, and even the menu had pairing suggestions printed, which was super helpful for someone like me who’s still learning about wine.
We ordered a wine flight and tried: • Gamay Noir • Fizzics • Black Sheep Riesling
All three had depth and character, but I especially enjoyed the Fizzics — refreshing and bright!
We ordered two pizzas: one vegetarian and one with chicken. Unfortunately, the food was a bit of a letdown. While the veg pizza was good and quite flavoured, the chicken pizza lacked on that and was undercooked — doughy and disappointing. I pointed it out to the server, and while I declined a replacement, she was understanding and explained they’re currently working through staffing challenges in the kitchen. The chicken also tasted processed, which was unexpected from a winery restaurant.
That said, the real highlight — aside from the wine and views — was getting to pet the sheep on the estate. It added a lovely, down-to-earth charm to the experience.
With a bit of improvement on the food side, especially the pizzas, this place could easily be a top-tier vineyard stop. Still, it’s definitely worth a visit for the atmosphere, the wine, and of...
Read moreIf you’re lucky enough to catch Bruce at Featherstone, buckle up—because lightning doesn’t just strike twice, it pours. I’ve been a proud member of the Bruce Fan Club since his days serving up sips and serotonin at The Winery Formerly Known As My Reason for Leaving the House.
Back then, his energy, wine smarts, and ability to make every guest feel like Beyoncé at a private tasting kept me coming back. But nothing—and I mean nothing—prepared me for what happened next.
One random day, my wife and I decided to stop by Featherstone—somewhere we’d never been—and boom, there he was. Bruce. Like a plot twist in a rom-com. Same charm, but with a whole new aura. He hosted a tasting for us and our friends, and it felt less like a winery visit and more like being part of a very well-curated dream.
Bruce has evolved. Transcended. Ascended. Whatever you want to call it, the man is phenomenal. I stand firmly by my statement: he is Taylor Swift for men—charming, talented, and an icon in the world of wine.
To the owners of Featherstone: congratulations. You’ve got yourselves the real deal. Don’t let this legend go. He turns every pour into poetry and every visit into a...

Tucked away in a picturesque corner of wine country, we discovered a quaint and beautiful winery that quickly became the highlight of our spring wine tour. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warmth and genuine hospitality by the incredible Vladimir and Amanda—truly the kindest people we met on our journey. Their passion for the place and for connecting with guests made the experience unforgettable.
Though the winery was undergoing renovations, Vladimir, Sarah and Cassandra took the time to walk us through their exciting plans for the space. You could feel their love and vision in every detail they shared—it’s clear this place is going to be something really special.
Despite the ongoing work, the charm of the winery shone through. The wines were lovely, the atmosphere was cozy, and the company was even better. We left feeling like we’d discovered a new favorite spot, one we’ll be returning to again and again.
We can already imagine ourselves sipping a glass of wine under the summer sun here. This place has heart, soul, and a bright future—and we can’t wait to...
