Sisters Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Lumby

Went there with the name in mind, 'Sisters Family Restaurant', assuming that everything served here is made fresh from scratch but oh boy, I was disappointed. Everything ordered was frozen. I went in for Santa Fe Chicken with vegetables and mashed potatoes. Lady said they are out of mashed potatoes and it can be replaced with fries. I said no to fries but asked her to add more vegetables instead. And I got a plate of chicken with just green peas 🫛?? What!? If it's just peas then why does it say vegetables? It should just say chicken and peas. Taste was horrendous too, frozen chicken which was barely cooked, it had that screachy noise while cutting. It was topped with canned salsa and cheese. Ordered pumpkin pie too but it wasn't made there either, it was all frozen and reheated. Got coffee as well which was ordinary. Spoons were dirty, when asked for a replacement, she said it's stained because of the hard water. But they are stained, how can one just eat with them? I got Chicken noodle soup too with a side of Chicken that I ordered. It also tasted like canned soup but when I checked with her she said, we make this but I doubt. This place makes nothing of their own, just selling frozen reheated stuff. I asked the staff if they make anything here and she said no just soups I guess. Don't fall for the name, it's deceptive!! There is no family cooking anything for you. My stomach also started hurting after I left this place. Would not recommend this place to anyone!! Just save your time and money and look for...

Went there for breakfast, what a mistake! I got Eggs Benny, my husband got a Denver omelet. I should have known the hollandaise sauce would be from a mix. Both of our hash browns were undercooked and greasy. We didn't complain as we were passing through and didnt have time to wait for them to correct it. When I went inside to pay, there were some baked goods in display cases. I remember seeing on the menu that they had Fresh daily baked goods. So I bought a cheese scone to bring home. After I paid, the girl said I suggest you warm it up. My first thought was Oh great, can't be that fresh then. I wonder just how old this scone was? Not even edible after heating it up, like a rock. This was probably an off day, I had good service before (when i was 1 of a few customers and they were not busy at all). I ordered eggs, toast and hash browns. I waited for 1/2 hr. A few ppl who arrived after me got served before I did. When food did come out, the hash browns were burnt. I started to eat the eggs because they were cooling quick outside.. so I requested they replace it all so I could eat it together at which point the lady serving me said "no, the eggs are fine" but took the entire plate.
