On our way to Mont Orford, I couldn’t resist stopping at (Fabrique de Bagel café noir) for breakfast—there’s no forgetting the taste from our first visit to Magog. I adore this place for its variety of fresh bakery & local items (jams, érable, pie etc..)
We ordered a bagel with salmon and cream cheese, a poppy bagel with cheese, and hot chocolate. Naturally, I also bought a dozen of their freshly baked mixed bagels & 1/2 dozen of blueberry bagel. The blueberry bagels are still my favorite, and I was pleasantly surprised by the ‘bagel aux érables”—it was my first time trying it, and it’s perfect for those who enjoy a sweeter taste.

The bagels are absolutely lovely, they are nothing like the bagels you would get in the states, they have there own unique texture and I found they were even a little sweet. When you walk in the oven is right there with cooking boards that looked to be 12" long just full of handmade bagels. They smell of the fresh baked bagels entices you to buy them. They offered local meats, honeys, maple syrup in various form, jams and others. The store was a great place to buy gifts to bring home to give to out family. We hope to get...

Maybe the young waiter was just in a hurry, but why do other customers get their coffee in a real cup and their dessert on a plate, and we don’t?
“It’s the little things that make a difference.” I hope they remember that, because this place is...
