Farmhouse 50 — Restaurant in Manitoba

I really want to give this place a five star review due to the amazing menu. however every once an a while I get the attitude of thestaff working there with better than you attitudes. I guess you don't need my money. I get to vote everyday where my dollars go. Since the pandemic, my experience at a venue is even more so important to me when I bring money into an established planning to spend it there. Anyway I arrived at 4 pm. I was craving a blueberry bacon panini and drove over half an hour to go here specifically today thought a drive would be nice even at the price of gas now I needed a nice meal and a good coffee. I ordered a coffee and took the menu from the counter. A lovely young lady waited to take my order. However a middle aged stalky woman with curly brown hair walked over and with a condescending tone pulled the menu right out of my hands and said " actually....we JUST switched to our evening menu." Which was super rude first off. Just grabby out of my hands. I quickly looked at the new menu I had been handed. I thought as I looked around the room with only two table with guests and thought you know. If I were a staff I would serve that JUST ONE customer then switch the menu. becuase it wasn't worth giving up a $20 sale on a meal I was just about to buy. My experience was NOT important to this middle aged woman. I looked at the girl in front of me who also looked uncomfortable with that interaction said sorry and I said I'll just take the cappachino. Paid for my coffee intentionally did not tip also for that reason. I guess you guys didn't learn how important customers are necessary for business success but whatever I'll take my money elsewhere. This place is such a hidden gem in the heart of Minnedosa! The interior is what you would expect based on the name of the establishment: modern farm house. We got seated in the patio and the weather was nice that we got to enjoy dining outside. Food was great! First if all, I needed to wake up and they served me a big cup of coffee, not a puny cup but a wake-you-up sized cup. I am thankful for that. Pictured below is the teriyaki beef bowl. It's not quite the traditional Asian teriyaki but good nonetheless. I particularly adored the Caesar salad and I should have just ordered full size instead of a side. What's really awesome about this place is the ambience. From the warm greeting and attentiveness of the staff to basically everyone (including the other diners) smiling faces, the air seemed to be relaxed and truly simply happy. I wore a smile myself the entire time (except when i was busy devouring my food, of course). Yes, I highly, highly recommend checking this place out when you're around the area. I, for one, am definitely coming back and bringing my friends and family to dine here. My only suggestion is to have some gluten free/friendly options as I wanted to try the sandwiches but couldn't. After reading some reviews, I was excited to try this place as we were in the area for work. A coworker and I arrived slightly before the lunch rush and was seated at the window... which have very uncomfortable, small bar stools that must have been made for toddlers. The lady who originally seated us brought menus and napkins/utensils and left.

We waited 20 MINUTES and still nobody came to take our order... thinking maybe we had to order at the cashier, I got up and saw someone who I inquired with about what we were expected to do. Apparently, it was not communicated with her that we were even there waiting. Unacceptable!!!

Not only that, but my water came in a dirty glass, and my utensils also arrived DIRTY. I don't know why I didn't up and leave this place after the way this experience started.

I'm glad we stuck around, though, because the food tasted fantastic and the presentation was really pretty. There are a few items on the menu that I would love to try, and I'd like to return the next time I'm in the area, I just hope for a much better customer service experience and...
