Manitou Springs Mineral Spa and the Water's Edge Restaurant was a fantastic experience and the three night getaway my sweetheart and I had there was one of the most enjoyable holidays I have ever had. I just wished it could have been longer. It was our first time there and our time spent in the restaurant with the staff there whom I would like to give a shout out to and thank Mandy, Lassette, Angel, Karré, and Tia who served us with such professionalism yet friendliness and loved spending time with them, casually joking and enjoying their company like they were old friends. When I was running late, leaving Saskatoon and I couldn't get through to the front desk I got a hold of the restaurant and talked to Mandy and made a reservation and asked him to let the front desk know we would be late and he did and when we got their for supper he knew it was me that had called and the great service started. Lassette was always smiling and was so jovial and we could tell she loved her job and cared about us too. Karré was a had real craftmanship in waitering and had such skill in the art of serving people in a restaurant setting. Everyone else was wonderful too. Angel even did card tricks one late evening, before they were closing. Tia a smaller girl carried a big tray of items we had ordered for room service which was quite heavy up to our room like it was nothing. Besides the service the food was incredible and the cook prepared lovely, delicious tasting meals and everything was reasonably priced. Besides the restaurant the gift store had a young lady there that helped us so much and had personal knowledge of the items we were looking at because she had used most of them She made us want to buy out the store. Lol. The front desk staff, the spa staff and the cleaners rounded out a wonderful 3 nights of peace and relaxation that helped me rejuvenate and recuperate my busy, sometimes stressful life and help me face life till I go back again which I definitely will. Thanks again for a wonderful holiday and very special three nights

P.S. Mandy called me Mr. Clint all the time and it made me...

The last time we were here was in 2013 and although we have been a few times our experience has never been GREAT! The changes made to the hotel and staff are obvious this time around! Right from our booking with Donna at the front desk to our unparalleled service from Marinella in the restaurant for all three nights we ate dinner there! Donna went above and beyond with our booking as we would be there with theee young kids over Christmas she went out of her way to make sure we would be accommodated including finding a small Christmas tree to have in our room upon arrival. The first night we had dinner at the restaurant I wondered how the food would be as I had never quite been satisfied before when eating there. We were extremely satisfied that first night being greeted with a warm welcome, delicious food that was hot, fresh and served promptly by an amazing and personable server named Marinella. Little did we know she would be our server all three nights we were there. She went above and beyond making sure we were well taken care of, that we were satisfied with our service, food and overall experience in the dining room. She was so friendly with our young children making them feel welcome and joking with them and putting smiles on their faces. Because of staff like Donna and Marinella we are definitely looking forward to coming back to Manitou Beach in the near future to enjoy their warm welcome and service!! Thank you so much for such a pleasant experience and a happy new year to all the wonderful staff!! Great job for such an amazing turn around in the overall experience of our stay! Whatever changes have been made are...

We have stayed at the Spa a few times and LOVE the water, but the restaurant (Water's Edge) has very poor service for the price. We had to wait 35 mins for a table. The waiting area is quite shabby with old, mismatched chairs and a few couples had to stand the whole time. Once seated, we didn't get water and had cutlery missing (eventually, my husband went a found wait staff to give us both) They didn't clear our table after our starters, so when the mains came, there was no place to put them and we had to move our own plates onto the bus cart. The table across from us was cleared onto a cart, but the cart of dirty dishes was left right next to our table in cramped space for our entire meal. We had to move the dirty cart to leave, it had been there for over 20 mins. The service was not up to par for the cost of the meal. It had been better earlier in the week and the waitress explained to us that it would be better in a few weeks because her manager was away on holidays. The wait staff did the best they could, but having two waitresses on for a busy restaurant on a Friday is not an acceptable way to manage a restaurant. They should plan for having enough staff. Also, the pool side pool vendor should have two people as well. We stood by the window to order drinks for 10 minutes and eventually just went to the vending machines because that was faster. I get the impress the the management of this hotel is not hiring enough people to work there. If you go to this spa, be prepared to wait a long time for food and have the service and bussing be not acceptable...

This is the very first time, I have put 1* for a restaurant, but not because of the food quality, it causes by the staff attitude and their service. The staff had to be in charge of cooking and receiving orders, so she was busy. Surely, customers can empathize. But she kept ignored customers then she went here and there without saying hello or “I’ll be right with you” to people waiting to order that is the basic knowledge. When she ran my order, she did a double charge on one of meal of my order. And when I figured it out, she told me like that’s my fault without any apology and with very bad attitude. Not bad, she told me to get my card that she could refund that for me. And yell at me if I need the receipt or not. 🤬😡 and she did not mind if I had to re-order or not. I quitted with out re-ordering. That was very bad experience at this restaurant. However, I thought the food looked good when she took them to other customers and the pool was fancy with hot/warm mineral water that didn’t make my day too bad.

My bestie and I decided to try this place before leaving the spa, and was not disappointed. The service was great, (despite the fact they were busy, they didn’t keep us waiting too long to be seated) The food was great, and though maybe a lil pricey—have to consider that when at a resort, like most things, there’s abit of a price hike. Definitely worth the experience though, would go again to try even more of the food. (Everything in there smelled sooooo good)

I am hesitant to eat here again after learning they failed a health inspection in January 2025 for Maintenance & General Sanitation, Food Protection, Temperature Control - Cooling, Thawing and Refrigeration. Also had my previous review deleted... lack of transparency. . One would think after new management took over this situation would have been alleviated but they do not have a good track record with health inspections.
