Table Nineteen Victoria — Restaurant in Metchosin

Very suprised. Went here for the first time on my birthday. They state they have the best patio in Langford. I’d say they’re one of the only patios in Langford so the competition is void making that statement hilarious at best. Sat on the patio, waited 15 mins for a server. Waited another 15 mins for a drink. Drink came in very dirty glass. Sent it back and took about ten mins to get a new one. Servers would come bring stuff out but no one really went further than that. No one checked on us and again, I had to get up, go chase someone down for our bill. Patio was just a cement patio with two big walls and a glimpse of the golf course. Not sure what the big deal is, especially when you can’t get staff to pay attention. Back in my day, when someone comes in for their bday, we’d go above and beyond. We’d offer dessert (sometimes for free) and we’d be attentive as people out for their bday usually want food and drinks. This just didn’t happen. The staff seem fine with being minimal and barely talking to guests. If I were the owner, I’d have a long training session about table capacity per section, the importance of up selling and how to do that, timings between services and seating and a few...

I was initially skeptical of what Table Nineteen had to offer, that is until I laid eyes on a handsome young man, who I now know to be Graeme. I told him it was my first time there and that, up until then, my nerves had gotten the best of me. He told me to sit back, relax, and that he would do his best to make me feel safe, comfortable, and ensure I had a pleasant experience.

I can now say that Graeme is a man of his word.

I wasn’t sure what I wanted, so I told Graeme to surprise me. Moments later, I had a Lavender Haze and a Baja Salad with chicken… neither disappointed. Both treats took me on a delicious trip to flavour heaven.

Not only was the food he recommended immaculate, but his service was too. Graeme’s kind words and joyful presence taught me to love myself again and reignited my faith in God.

Just came home from an amazing date night dinner. We had the Tuesday date night special. Appetizer, 2 mains and a dessert to share $79. Had the best calamari, surf and turf and finished off with a crème brûlée. It was all very delicious. Have not been here in over a year as the last experience was awful and kinda of written off as a good place to go.I had heard they have a new head chef and from our meal tonight it was apparent that things had changed. The whole meal start to finish was so good. Everything we saw coming form the kitchen looked amazing. Staff was so great. Our server Devon was exceptional!
