people with dairy allergies and or vegetarian/vegan food restrictions be aware. Tim Horton's offers oat beverage substitutes for their coffee, and as someone with an extreme allergy to milk this seemed like an exciting addition. Unfortunately 9 times out of 10 when i order a coffee with oat milk from this location, and specifically explain to the workers i have a dairy allergy that it must be oat milk i will still receive a coffee with cream and end up extremely sick. when being handed over my coffee after the worker makes it, i will always double check with them that they made it with oat milk, and so many times the workers lied and said yes but still gave me dairy. I would understand if you don't have it in stock, but you need to let the customer know and not just give them the next thing. Being allergic and receiving dairy is one thing, but i couldn't imagine someone who dedicated years of their life to avoiding animal biproducts to have that ruined by careless employees and management.
this is just a note to add since were already here, they also charge you for condiment substitutions on any food items you order, and always fail to provide you with them. so now you paid extra and have no condiments, just taking your money.
This location is under the same management at the Esso Tim Horton's, which has much better staff and reviews. its very clear the manager puts all of her eggs...

So, I drive back, tell one of the girls at cash it was made wrong and I'm just looking for a remake. They turn to the girl working food station, mention it's grilled and she tells cash girl it's cause the toaster is broken. So cash girl turns back to me and tells me, then asks me if I still want it. Uh, no, it's still wrong, no cream cheese, remember?
Once they were remaking it, I spoke with a manager about how when a customer orders something and an establishment cannot accommodate it, it's kind of imperative that they tell us. The manager agrees and tells me it's the owner SCOTT's decision and everybody was told to not tell customers and to just grill bagels instead.
So SCOTT, you just okay with lying to your customers, telling your employees to withhold information and to just grill a bagel? Instead of just telling me it's broken and offering it grilled or offer something else? Great business practice.. I've worked in customer service for over 20 years, and I wouldn't dream of lying to someone's face like that.
So to everyone who ever gets something wrong from this location, it's probably SCOTT telling all his employees to blatantly...

I have officially moved my initial 1 star review.. that progressed to 3 star... to 5. This Tim's drive thru has made a complete 180 in the speed of the drive thru. Recommend giving it another go if you gave it up in the past like I did!
Sometimes I'll drive down to the McDonald's in Lower Sackville for coffee because it's faster than waiting in this drive thru. I watched 20 cars pass up this Tim's during a 25 minute wait in line one day.
Edit: I gave this place another shot after not going since this review (4-5 months ago).
Today I paid and while my order was paid for and coffee just sitting out of arms reach, the drive thru worker turned her back to me and had a conversation with her coworkers while I just sat there.. stunned. I thought I was being punked. She eventually turned around to hand me my coffee but like.. what on Earth..
Edit 2: I am changing my review from 1 star to 3. There has been a definite improvement in the speed of the drive-thru in the past month. Perhaps it is the time of day I'm going, but I'm going to give them benefit of the doubt....
