Fundy Line Restaurant — Restaurant in Miramichi

We decided to come here based on the rave Google reviews. We did notice the newest review was 6 months ago and the marquee says “under new management” - so perhaps they are trying to find their footing.

But. It was not a stellar dining experience. We each ordered a meal and I ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks (it never came). My burger was home style and tasted like it was potentially delicious, just overdone. My wife liked her club, but the coleslaw was inedible (I tried it, it was bad). We asked for ketchup and hot sauce. I eventually was presented with gravy and decided not to protest. The ketchup was also inedible - possibly watered down, likely just old. The flat Christmas Coke in June was a nice touch.

As a motor coach driver, I like trying local restaurants and came upon Fundy Line Restaurant. At first place, it didn't appear to be appealing however, I made a point of 'not judging a book by its cover'. Thank goodness I didn't, as the food and service turned out to be excellent! I recently tried breakfast here for the first time and ordered the steak and eggs. The eggs were perfectly cooked—some of the best I’ve ever had at a restaurant—and the steak was thick, juicy, and fresh with a fantastic spice blend. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meals as well. The atmosphere isn’t the flashiest compared to other spots, but it has a great classic diner vibe, and the quality of the food makes it worthwhile. I’d definitely recommend it...
