ABC Donair Zone — Restaurant in Mission

We ordered from ABC Donair Zone using Door Dash. They were successful at 1) actually existing, and 2) delivering food. I mean, it was not a stick, a hammer or a chair so I guess they kinda got it right? Beyond that, so many things went wrong I'm not even sure where to begin.

The food itself was an abomination; Flavourless and unappealing, the best thing I can say is that it wasn't overly greasy. We ordered 7 meals: 3 donairs and 4 donair plates. We received 3 of each (Door Dash refunded for the missed meal and blamed it on the restaurant).

The first donair was a chicken Caesar donair. It came as advertised with the odd caveat that the Caesar consisted of a mix of romaine lettuce and cabbage. Bland and with almost no chicken to speak of.

The second donair was a super chicken with cucumber, lettuce, onion and Tzatziki. There was no cucumber, no tzatziki, and no lettuce. There was also barely any chicken despite it being a "super" donair. What it did have was an overwhelming amount of cabbage. Imagine eating a mountain of shredded cabbage in a pita with the odd piece of overcooked chicken to interrupt the culinary monotony.

The third donair was supposed to be the same as the second. Instead what we got was labeled as "beef/chicken." While we did not order this, I have to commend them for at least accurately labeling it. It was a pita filled with nothing but beef, chicken and donair sauce. With the absence of vegetables, the meat sweats started much earlier and the donair itself fell apart into a soppy mess only halfway through. Perhaps some of the chicken from this one was meant for donairs 1 and 2? Maybe our order was mixed up with someone else's?

Our donair plates came mostly as advertised with the exception of the one that they simply neglected to give us. The lettuce was once again substituted for cabbage (seriously, this is supposed to be a restaurant and they can't even distinguish lettuce from cabbage), the meat was flavourless and the "hot" sauce tasted suspiciously like ketchup. The best part of the meal was the pita that literally came in the plastic bag that they bought it in at the grocery store. I mean, come on, at least try to pretend you made it.

Overall this was a regrettable and disappointing dining choice. I am tempted to upgrade my review to 2 stars only because it did provide a lot of laughs at their expense as our group sampled their assortment of failures. Do yourself a favour and buy literally anything else. Even the stick and the hammer would have been...

I went 2 times in the last 8 days First time was ok but very little sauce. As I had been there before u asked for a large plate but gor regular and charged for Supreme. I asked for extra salad so they gave me no salad included and charged me almost 7.00 for Greek salad.I asked for extra sauces and got nothing on the meal but a tiny tbsp amt in a cup on the side. Yesterday I went again and asked for extra sauces on the food.. Including hot sauce. None of that happened ...they seem to feel like asking for extra means don't put any on the food. Red flags were there. No meat freshly cut or even visible. Frosted glass so you can't see how it's being prepared. I got beef...looked and tasted like left over leather. Inedible to say the least. I called and they didn't answer. I will be taking the food into their store today. I even left a number to call...crickets. I went back today to return all the food to be told he could do nothing for me because I should have called within 5 minutes...which I did but they never answered. I told him to check his msgs which he refused. I tossed the container by the front door saying he could eat it then. He put the container on my car...it was such a ridiculous exchange. He could clearly see none of the food had been eaten and got himself caught up in semantics instead of being a good person and honoring his Products quality. I dropped almost 60.00 in less than a month there and it went from ok to really bad. I should have read the reviews...regardless he should know how to resolve a situation professionally.*let me make it clear I did not throw open food at his business nor did I pull a Karen, yell or swear. I tried to appeal to what was right and fair...think ill stick with mission...

Ordered from skip and put specific instructions saying I wanted a poutine with only chicken fries gravy and mozzarella and super sized the order arrived on time had no problems with the courier but when I opened my box I had noticed the order was in fact not super sized and not my chicken poutine it was even made with either beef or pork tbh couldn’t tell the difference and had sauces all over the top when I specifically said no sauce I called and complained hoping they would understand my issues and have at least the common courtesy to offer me a new one while I was still expecting to pay for the delivery fee because there was nothing wrong on skips end and the appearance of the food was honestly nauseating and when I had called I was given major attitude from the women on the phone then passed over to another women and told her my issue and she proceeded to tell me I was wrong as I was sitting there looking at my food and it was definitely not right she then proceeded to ask the cook if he put chicken it the poutine if you even want to call it that and told me that I was in fact wrong I’m sorry I thought the customer was always right after that she then told me that if I wanted a new order I would have to send a picture of my food and who know I probably would have had to pay for it too I decided to not waste my time for them to just get my order wrong for a second time after reading reviews and also after trying the food I honestly feel sick to my stomach over all if I could give negative 5 stars I would this place should be shut down customer service was appalling as well as the presentation and taste and smell of the food I was not even offered a refund for the super sized poutine I payed for and the...
