This place has the BEST desserts and cakes that I ever had from any bakery. Very traditional Italian bakery with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The zeppoli are very delicious and moist, really fresh. Spoke to a guy named Sil and he said he just made them fresh. The whole family loved them, not to mention the ginger bread cookies they have as well that are a hit with my 4 yr old (they have many characters ā€”and we bought 2 of them to have)The bread is made freshly every day and is very baked early in the morning and tastes delicious.

Bought prosciutto in there and when I got home it tasted so bad and old it was yellow in colour the fat around the prosciutto. I called the store and the lady was arguing with me saying it was good lol she said she sells so many and it was the bottom of the product . She never apologized or did anything she kept saying no itā€™s not the product . I have eaten prosciutto Parma many many times and this was disgraceful and disgusting and so was her service when I called to let her know . Never going there again .

This place makes by far the best lasagna and eggplant parmigian. I'm so glad I discovered this gem. I ordered lasagna and eggplant parmigian for an office pot luck as I've had it before at my sister's house and my coworkers loved it. I'm so glad I grabbed businesses cards for my coworkers šŸ˜€. Home cooked deliciousness. Absolutely the best I've ever tasted. And they have fresh bread and pasteries too, pies, cakes it's worth going to. Look at the photos those lasagna's were literally devoured. So good!

Great bread. That's about it. Every single time I go in I feel unwelcome, almost as if I'm a burden. The pastries are visibly left out overnight to dry out. Have purchased bad canollis, turnovers and cakes on several occasions. Most recently I was sold expired copocollo from their deli. I truly wasn't all that surprised when I discovered it after getting home as no one ever gets deli meat there. I've tried to like this place, I can not.

Edit: Swallowed my pride and just returned to Deri for fresh bread. Was served by the owner (female) who fetched it for me. She put her mop down and grabbed my italian baguette with her bare hands and bagged it for me. When I got home I noticed how incredibly old the baguette is. Why do you bother? Why are you selling garbage to your customers? I paid $3.00 for a dirty cruton. Retire....

Walked in, and everything looked and smelled wonderful! There was a white gentleman in front of me ordering the lady serving him was so nice and kind to him he paid with a $50 When it was my turn I greeted her she looks at me and says how can I help you. In order two desserts. I then as if she has tap. Shgo I walked around She looks at me and starts to give me attitude on how I need to purchase for 5$/. Which I was fine with but the attitubde was not need. I came in on my break to try some Italian dessert and the way she was towards me made not even want to try it. Desserts didn't taste good. Been here a few times. Service is hit and miss, sometimes a grumpy lady, sometimes someone nice. Coffee is also hit and miss. Latte was ok last time, but before that tried a decaf one and it was absolute yaki under excracted liquid. And maracons- oh boy, don't waste your money on those, this week I got a couple and they were soooo old, I nearly broke my teeth. Wanted to take it back and ask for my money, but realized that I already threw them in the garbage. Maybe some packaged good are OK, but i am definitely not going back anymore...
