Tonight we had a awful experience with Marconi. Our family has been dedicated Marconi pizza customers for years. I phoned in our order at 630pm and the gentleman who took the order let us know it would take approximately 50 minutes to deliver as it was a busy night. We had no problem with that. At 8pm I decided to call to see where our order was. A woman (later identifying herself as the owner) answered and abruptly put me on hold when I let her know why I was calling. After returning she said it was on its way. I started asking why It had taken an hour and a half and she cut me off saying it was an extremely busy night. I let her know I was told 50 min and we were fine with that but that double that amount of time was not ok and was excessively long. She immediately started shouting at me that she has been in business for years and this is how it is and that she’s sorry I was told an inaccurate amount of time but my order will be there shortly. I let her know we no longer wanted it. She became extremely upset and was shouting louder. I told her we had been ordering for years and have never ever had this happen, not even a phone call or any form of communication. It just wasn’t acceptable. She put me on hold and came back and said the order was 3-4 min away. I reiterated that we did not want the order and that this was unacceptable. She started shouting at me again, I asked her not to cut me off and she shouted “ok, now that I’m allowing you to, what do you need to say?” I decided to end the call by telling her to have a good night.

For years our family has praised them. We have even brought it to events out of town. We will never order from Marconi again, Ever. Whoever she is she needs a lesson not just how to speak to a customer but how to speak to another human being. Goodbye...

Having just moved to sauga and always trying to find a mom n pop type pizza place, I had high hopes for this place based on the reviews. However, I was fooled by it and decided to post this review so others won't be. I called ahead to inquire about prices and was told to "look at the menu." I'm not sure how I'm supposed to look at a menu when I'm calling, but I was then asked if I wanted to order something. I said I would look at the menu and call back. The menu is only available as a single picture attached to the Google page. Looks to be ancient. I called back and ordered a 4 topping large pizza, which came to roughly 40 dollars with 3 dips. The time they gave me to pick up was accurate (hence the 3 star service rating), but I got there about 10 minutes earlier and got to watch the operation. The place is very clean and hygenic. Kuddos for that, but that's where it all goes south. They have a couple of people only answering phones, then a little sweatshop they seem to crank out subpar quality food. The slices they had on the counter looked day old and very unappetizing. While they do use mostly fresh vegetables, the mushroom came from a can, which you can taste immediately. The dough was not fresh. It was hard as a rock within 10 minutes of me driving home. Once in store, I noticed they have frozen pizzas for sale at a bargain, which you can take home and warm up yourself, and really, that's what their fresh ones taste like too. Those reviews giving this place 4 and 5 stars either never had a proper pizza, have no standards, or have dead taste buds because this is easily the worst pizza I had in a very long time. My dog, who loves pizza crust, didn't even want this. If you're thinking about this place as you look for a 4 - or 5-star pizza, look elsewhere....

I used to love marconi's to the point where I would recommend it to everyone who would listen ..But now they have changed their sandwiches and lasagna which are almost half the size and the taste is not good..also the pizza (Large circle) came delivered when I opened the box it looked like a soup ..or stew..unless the pizza is party size (square) the pizza is very poor quality..when i called to ask when they had changed their menu..the person on the phone told me if I didn't like it then I will refund my money and we won't deal with each other anymore..who says that?? I have been a advocate for marconi's since the late 90's ..But know since my last experience with the food quality and the customer service I wouldn't recommend Marconi's to anyone I know or don't know..Marconi's had been a favorite for me and my family so this really makes me sad to say ..but marconi's you have lost a customer and advocate for 30 years ..I would have given zero stars if possible..😪 if you never changed your menu ..then why when I called to ask why the sandwiches were so small a staff member who works for marconi's explained to me that ..and I quote " We Have Changed are menu ..if you don't like it we don't have to deliver to you anymore" and this is after I was a loyal customer for over 30 years..if you claim you have not changed your menu ..then you need to train your employees better .and also teach them how to speak with customers. And like I said it breaks my heart that Marconi's has declined so far because it was a favorite for all my family and friends. But I can no longer support a company that would treat their customers...

🍕Marconi Pizza, it’s the end of an era. Marconi’s made a mistake on the pizza we ordered. I live 30 minutes away from them and picked it up on the way home. They told me to return the pizza and they would make a new one, I wasn’t going to drive back for their mistake, so I asked them to pick up the pizza, they wouldn’t since I’m not in their delivery area, so Marconi’s said I would get a credit. I go today, they wouldn’t honor a replacement though they made the mistake, with reasons being because I’m not a regular customer and because and it was a while since the mistake. We have/HAD been going to Marconi’s since they were in Markland Wood in the 1970’s. I may not be a regular, because I don’t live close, but I am loyal, I stop at Marconi’s whenever I am in the area. Not only would they not replace the pizza, they told me not to come back or order from them again… even though they made the mistake, they said they don’t need the hassle. I’m disappointed in the lack of customer service, especially as I paid for an item I didn’t order and only wanted to get what I ordered and paid for. Mistakes are made, all you had to do was make it right. Shame on you Marconi’s. You lost a loyal customer of over 40 years . #marconipizza #poorcustomerservice #endofanera #customershaming #dotherightthing

I’ve been going to this place since I was in grade 5. I used to sneak out of school from Silverthorn Public School and cut through a catwalk behind the church to get to this place just to buy a slice. 27 years later, they’re still around and their pizza is absolutely amazing. I can still remember it like it was when I was 10 years old. My go-to pizza always a classic pepperoni pizza however, this particular time I tried half pepperoni and half with the pork trio. When I called to order I was contemplating trying something other than the pepperoni so I asked the gentleman on the phone how popular the pork trio was and was skeptical to try it. I appreciate the fact that he told me to get half and half and that way even if I didn’t like the pork trio I would still have my classic pepperoni slices. That was absolutely amazing! I loved the pork trio and will definitely get it again. The pepperoni curls up when it comes out of the oven. Their dough is thin, crunchy and easy to eat. I usually throw my crust out but not here. Since this spot is a mom and pop shop with no franchise locations, the consistency has been exactly the same even almost 30 years later. The staff is super friendly and prompt with their orders. I will definitely be visiting many more times

The pizza was good BUT... The large 16 inch pizza wasn't 16 inches and was instead 15 inches. If it wasn't for my brother who worked in a pizzeria before pointing out that it's too small to be 16 inches, I wouldn't have noticed and would've simply ate the pizza. I didn't want to go public with a review of this so I called them telling them this. They basically told me that they only have a rough estimate and don't measure their pizza. I realize pizzas can contract but this was ordered and picked up in the 10-15 minute window, with a 5 minute drive back home. People will say it's just an inch but Subway got hammered for their "footlongs" being 11 inches. Again it wasn't a bad pizza, just disappointing what I paid for.
