This was our fifth summer trip to Tremblant and La Petite Cachée is a true jewel of the Tremblant experience. The owner Julie and her amazing team at the restaurant really know how to make the dining experience very special and most importantly memorable. The cuisine is outstanding and the wine list has options for everyone’s taste and price points for even the most discerning customers. We have been a patron for five summers now and when we arrived for the first of four dinners that week, we were greeted by an amazing waiter Ludovic. My family was so touched that he remembered us! Two other nights we had a wonderful personality named Aglae that was so much fun as well. She had such a fun energy and so kind. On our final night, we had both Ludovic and Aglae to make our last night dining experience an extremely memorable one for sure. Julie, the owner has put together such a fun but at the same time such a professional group. She loves her restaurant and the people that dine there and it really shows in the atmosphere and the quality and presentation of the meals.

I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed such a fine dining experience where I laughed so much by the conversations with Julie and her team. They are professional, kind, attentive and extremely welcoming. We truly wished we lived much closer as this is a favourite dining venue for extremely memorable culinary experiences. The daily specials along with a very interesting and creative menu makes La Petite Cachée a very unique and special place in Tremblant.

Thank you Julie, Aglae, Ludovic and the rest of your wonderful team. Soooo much fun. It’s not just about creating such a great dining experience but it was also very entertaining and enjoyable just because of the atmosphere and care at La Petite...

I recently dined at Restaurant La Petite Cachée, a charming spot with a cozy ambiance that had us looking forward to a great night out. We had reservations and were promptly seated upon arrival. The evening started off well; our waitress was friendly, helpful with the menu, and offered some great recommendations.

For our meal, I ordered the ribs with fries, and my girlfriend had the steak frites, substituting the fries for mashed potatoes. The ribs were fantastic—falling off the bone with a decent barbecue sauce that hit the spot. Unfortunately, the steak was a letdown. Though cooked to medium as requested, it was tough, dry, and lacked flavor. A real disappointment given the expectations set by the restaurant's reputation.

We ended our meal with a cappuccino and a crème brûlée, both of which were excellent. It seemed like a good meal overall—until the bill came. This is where the experience took a nosedive.

When it was time to pay, I chose to enter my own tip amount. I believe in tipping fairly for service, and since the service was decent but not exceptional, I left a 10% tip on a $126 bill. However, when the waitress noticed the tip amount as she re-entered the transaction due to a tap limit issue, she made a point to tell me that she relies on tips and implied that my tip was insufficient. I felt insulted. Tipping is a personal decision, and while I understand the importance of tipping, being confronted about it left a very bad taste in my mouth.

What started as a pleasant evening turned sour with that exchange. I go out to enjoy myself, not to be guilted into tipping more. Restaurant La Petite Cachée had the potential to be a great dining experience, but this incident really soured it for us. I’m not sure I’ll be returning...

I am being generous giving this restaurant one star over five. Seriously they don’t even deserve one star, here’s what happened:

We ordered two plates of meat. Not only we had to wait 40 minutes, but the meat came burned out from the outside, check the picture. Both plates were burned.

We informed the waiter, he said the following: “the chef did burn the meat indeed. Even from the inside it’s not properly cooked.” It’s good the waiter told us this, but can you imagine a restaurant where their own waiter say the chef messed up?…

We asked for salt and pepper. They gave us pepper only, since “they don’t know where the salt is, we have to wait”… and we had to ask multiple times to finally get salt.

The waiters (two of them) put the salt and pepper on the table, they did not serve them to us on the dish. They did however serve another table, and I had specifically told the waiter “why you put salt and pepper for them and not for us? Is there any reason?”, he said “I understand your concern, we can’t do anything about it”.

After all this frustration, I told the waiter that they must compensate us by offering me and my girlfriend free dessert since all this is unacceptable. The waiter brought us one free dessert (it’s very small, barely for one person).

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I stayed in Mont Tremblant village and was hoping this restaurant would be better quality than the restaurants of the village. Turned out it’s even worse. I would grab anything from the village next time and not spend one dollar at this restaurant.

I hope this review sheds some light on non-professional practices and no respect, and hopefully the owners would address this properly or ignore it, if they don’t care about...

These pictures do not do the food justice!! Went to "La Petite Cachée" last night. The 4th picture does not do justice to how it was plated, I couldn't wait to try the pull beef with duck and mushroom cream.... it melted at the touch of my fork. My girlfriend had foie gras, it wasn't to rich or fatty. It was mouth watering and pared so well with the chutney, and caramelized pickled balsamic onions. As a main I had a deer fillet medium rare with a peppercorn sauce. Served with turnips, mash potatoes, asparagus, carrots, and a carrot sweet potato sauce. While my girlfriend had an "onglet de boeuf". It was so succulent!! It was marinaded and grilled with a nice chimichurri sauce and served with the same sides as the deer. Next was dessert and I gotta say that lime tart served with a lime gelato reminded me why I love lime tarts. It wasn't to sweet, sour, or rich. It was nice and light with a subtle sweetness. A great way to end the night. My girlfriend had a nice ice cream served with bailey's, an espresso shot and a small brownie. It was a nice and simple dessert yet full of flavor. Our drinks: We started with the recommended aperitif a champagne mixed with cranberry juice infused with rose pedals. Next I chose a saint-Émiliom Grand Cru 2016 it was an interesting wine. It was a medium body, subtle aroma, it was dry at first tast but changed to a soft finish paird great with the deer and beef. Ended the night with a nice port we each took a different one that would compliment our dessert but the suggestions came from our server. Thank you to our server that night who had 30 years of experience, and thank you to the head-chef for the amazing food and for taking the time to come out so we could thank him.
