This store is truly unbelievable. And when I say "unbelievable " I don't mean in a good way. Funny how multiple people have already complained about the exact SAME thing as me MONTHS ago and yet I was there today and same thing is happening still. Today I walked in and made my way to the pastry counter and grabbed a paper number to realize a few minutes later that the number on the electronic counter was at "00" therefore not using that system. I waited and waited for almost 10 minutes while I watched other people being served before me when I was there b fore them. I finally decide to address a member of the staff in order to understand how /when/ if they will ever serve me being that there is no system. The answer I get "it won't be long " . I finally after a while decide to go to another counter where they serve sandwiches and have a line in order to have a chance to get served. When the person asked me how they could help me, I advised I wasn't there for food but just wanted one of the platters that was already prepackaged in the fridge over at the pastry section. 20 minute wait to get a plate from a fridge. I then make my way to the cash and tell the cashier "you know, you should have a system in place if you're not going to use the current numbers system as this is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!" To which she answers "oh it's because some employees called in sick today". WHAT .....??... What the heck is she talking about .. .??. What does one have to do with the other ??. Even more reason to use the numbers if you are understaffed. !!! Never again. And you better believe that I will discourage anyone from buying and encouraging your business as you clearly don't value your clients since you provide probably THE worse service I've seen in any store. PS : your food sucks !!! Completely tasteless !!! ADONIS , 1000 times better for Kebbe and all the other finger foods. People who purchase that stuff from you are imbeciles don't know the 1st thing about middle eastern...
Read moreGood place to buy pitas. The croissants are good to but buy at least 6 to save on taxes. What I've tried and my thoughts:
Crepes: run of the mill, nothing to blow your mind but still decent for the sweet tooth and not super expensive. If you are in the area and want bigger selection there is Cocktail Antabli.
Pizza: they can warm it up for you in the oven, of course not super thin crust but it's still good. The spicy chicken was tasty.
I've also tried the Spinach and cheese bread appetizers (forgot the actual name) - again, if you buy 6 you save on taxes and if you want to eat on premise they can warm it up. They are good and I would buy again possibly for a potluck (they aren't expensive either)
Wraps: you can pick which wrap-bread you want (for lack of better wording) and after adding all the toppings you can, this can get pretty filling. Price varies on which type you get and they warm it on site
Hot food counter: shish taouk is good but sometimes the potatoes are super salty. The grilled filet mignon is really flavourful and would recommend trying it. Also a decent selection of other hot foods (paella was so-so but I've tried other more traditional Lebanese food for take out and it was good)
Cakes: great selection of desserts, the only one I would avoid based on experience is the red velvety because it is more cream and icing than anything else.
As an FYI, this place is somewhat affiliated with Adonis - I was told it was a cousin of one of the partners of Adonis that...
Read moreUnbelievable! Is this what happens when the Lebs are amongst the Francophones!?! Same thing with Indian establishments in Anglo parts. Wow! This is the BEST Deli Style Lebanese food I've ever had. I've eaten this type of thing all over the world. I knew a Dallas resident who had a restaurant who was a golden gloves boxer in Jordan who was known for his sandwich shops and I ate at his restaurant and shisha place. I've eaten at Sinbad's in Dearborn, MI in the 1990's when they were at their peak and 10's of more places in the States. I've lived in Abu Dhabi and eaten at restaurants that catered to the Royal family's weddings. I ate at Kuwait's finest lebanese places too. As far as food quality is concerned, I had a poulet epicee avec fromage pita with garlic mayo and toasted in their oven. I eat a lot and couldn't have anything else. It was served somewhere between a pizza and a greek pide, but not as flat as a manakeesh. There pastries there make the French patisserie look like just a basic foundation. They are creative and indulgent. The rumballs alone were the size of a softball and had a small cake layer holding them. An easy pastry to share between two. I wouldn't pass this place if I am ever nearby and advise the same. Places to sit and eat, cafe style and a bar for the lone...
