I saw this pizza joint offered BOGOs (Buy One, Get One) on Uber Eats. 23 CAD BEFORE TAX for a SMALL pepperoni pizza, conveniently a "buy one get one for free". Their small cheese pizza is 11.5 CAD before tax, for reference.

This restaurant preys on hungry people by attempting to trick them into buying the same pizza twice with a fake discount. The small pepperoni pizza really is 11.5 CAD (unless pepperoni instead of cheese costs 11.5 CAD extra?), so if you get their SMALL pepperoni pizza for 23 CAD as a BOGO? you're really just paying 11.5 CAD twice. This is a fairly common practice- you aren't getting anything for free.

Some restaurants try to cover their tracks up and offer a slight discount, but this is just straight up fraud. This evening we ordered two pizzas from Double Pizza. As it was late Saturday night, we figured we would be waiting for at least a half hour to an hour for our pizza. After over an hour, we still had yet to receive our pizza. Therefore, we decided to call Double Pizza to respectfully ask where the pizzas were, when they then told us they had not found our order. No problem, we ordered again. Again after an the pizza had not shown up. After 90 minutes the pizza arrives. We ask the delivery guy if theres any sort of rebate, he calls the supervisor. The supervisor calls us liars and tells us we never placed an order to begin with. When asked how his delivery guy was at our door if we hadn't placed an order, he said "I have no idea".
