Les Sables d'Or — Restaurant in Montreal

We were 4 hungry guys watching football the other day and we felt like ordering something different. A girl I work with ordered lunch from there last week and she gave me an egg roll. It was one of the best egg rolls I’ve had since I don’t know when. Long story short we ordered egg rolls. Peanut butter dumplings sesame beef. Beef and broccoli peanut butter chicken with crispy spinach and fried rice. Not only was everything delicious, I want to bathe in the peanut butter sauce. It was by far the best I’ve ever had. And it came in about 30 minutes and piping hot. And their delivery driver was super friendly and funny. When I commented on how fast the food came he offered to come back in 15 minutes if we wished. Which leads me to comment on Sammy Sammy review. I think he should get his head out of the sand. I have worked my entire life either part time or full time doing food deliveries. We work very hard and pay our own gas. We sometimes have to climb flights of stairs or up peoples icy unshoveled stairs. Sometimes we’re standing outside in the cold while the customer takes his sweet time getting to the door. Do you really think a 3% tip is adequate for the service you are receiving? Why would you tip a server in a restaurant 15% while tipping a driver so much less? You should stop being a cheapskate and properly appreciate the service you are receiving. If you’re not willing to do that, get off your lazy butt and go pick up the food yourself.

Man I love this place. It's difficult to find restaurants like this place nowadays : the price is reasonable and the portion is generous : especially any beef platter. Unlike 80% of Chinese restaurants, this place make sure you have more meats in your order. Taste is also up there and you can taste that they use fresh ingredients.

One little tip : the salt & pepper tofu, it is a bit too crispy and hard. Most of people might find it hard to chew or even cut mouth.

But would always order from here if I want Cantonese style Chinese food. If this place remains their generous portion and quality, I don't need to look elsewhere. Already added to my list...

The delievery man came to drop order and i had set up the tip for my mom to pay and i put 5$ tip and walked away from the order, as my mom was paying delivery man said i drove all the way here you have to give me 15% tip on a 135$ order for my drive and made my mom payed because she felt bulied and scared. When calling Resturant they hung up on us 2 times and instead of manager or owner talkinv to us made the delivery guy talk to us and he said i no give you money back i had to drive to the restaurant to discuss this .
