Went there last year summer with some friends to sing. It was my first visit ever there and I invited many friends to meet me there as well. As I got inside , the lady at the coat check told me to leave my coat with her and had to pay 5$ entrance fees ( and I gave 2$ tips ) as well. But to my surprise, the "bar owner" another small chubby lady, came to tell her that there was "no more place" inside for me ( hmmm... why on earth couldn't she say that to "me" ... I was like..just 1 foot beside her..) anyways... weird, cuz I could see "a lot" of place where I could of stand ( like many other people standing near the bar )... but hey, they just wanted me out I guess. So the coat lady told me that I cannot stay and there is no more place for me. Told the coat lady that I was not pleased with this as she could of told me that " before" I pay and gave her tips. Anyhow, she reimbursed me and apologized as herself didn't know there was no more place... the funny thing is... I just can't explained "why" the bar owner lady didn't mentionned that to the coat lady "before" I arrived??... why did she mentionned it "after" I enter the bar? Get it. weird.. I am asian and most people who look at me think I am a "bad person" ( but I am a choir singer in fact )...not sure if that has anything to do with that... told her that I invited many friends to this bar and now.. I have to cancel everything..told her I won't ever come back here again and will tell all my friends to never go there anymore as well... she felt bad and didnt know what to answer back... anyways.. I left and went outside.. took a cigarette and spoke with the guard man for 10 min ( because I was waiting for my friend to show up to tell them there was no more place anymore inside and that we needed to go somehwre else.. ) but after chatting for more then 15 minutes with the guard... the coat lady came back outside and told me that my friend was "already" inside the bar before I even arrived.... AND there was "now" places for me to get inside... wow..............so I went inside.. saw my friend sitting at a table ( 5 of them )... and I joined them....
Friends, just to let you know... this was my first experience there and I though that place was a "blast"... well.. it is... and it isn't. It depends how you "look" before you enter the place as they can find an excuse to keep you "outside" the karaoke bar anytime they want. I learn that the first time I stepped inside. Later on, I even met another of my old friend ( that I never though I'd see him there )...
The place is fun... but like I said.. if they don't know you.. if you look "suspicious"... you might find yourself being kicked out of the bar without even doing anything wrong.
Just my 10...
Read moreIt's a cool spot and you will most likely have a fun time....BUT the catch or the trick to their "all you can eat" thing is that...you get a small plate of very thin cut meats, you have probably several people at the table using the same small pot of broth, you have 2 skewers to put your small bites of vegetable or meat on, it takes time before each bite is cooked in the broth and ready to eat, the way the human body works is that 13 minutes after u put food in ur body it sends a signal to you brain saying "hey we're full" even though you haven't eaten very much......so u have all u can eat, but u don't really get ur moneys worth of food because u pay like 40$ for all u can eat, but u wait like 5 minutes for each BITE to get cooked in the broth , u sometimes lose ur bite in the broth cuz it falls in there so u start over...so before u know it, u are fed up of eating despite not really being full, u realize u did not eat anywhere near 40$ worth of food with those tiny slices of meat being cooked, u are hungry again a couple of hours later and need to eat again...5 minutes ish per bite, u probably spend like 45 minutes or 1 hour trying to eat, so that's like 9 to 12 bites of food, with drinks in between which is really what fills u up.....so the 39$ plus tax plus tip plus all of the drinks is not worth it, but the experience is fun and the service...
Read moreGood food, fun vibe, with a lot of music selection. There are a couple things that makes this spot lose points. The service for the food is really really long a specialy for food that isn't cooked so i cant bring myself to understand why the waiting time is so long. Secondly the music selection got a lot of versions of the same song there should be an extra line saying this track has back vocals and this track doesn't if you think you nwed help singing the song there shouldn't be 12 versions of tony Braxtons song but nothing telling you whats different about them. Besides that its really fun the crwod is very supportive and sings along to a...
