I have ordered multiple products from Martinique Desserterie, ranging from their variety boxes, to large orders for birthday parties and other events, and now a vast variety of items from their newly opened retail location. Their food is absolutely delicious, the attention to detail is immaculate, their product is always fresh and exactly as advertised, they offer a huge variety of items, and are thoughtful and inclusive of allergies, intolerances, and restrictions. Their new retail location offers everything from breakfast pastries to specialized coffee, plants, paintings, delicious desserts and hand made bread, all while representing their community and their brand proudly. Ola and Renee are infectiously passionate about their business and product, beyond professional when it comes to customer service and the taste and quality of their treats is unbeatable. We stopped by Martinique Desserterie & Delicatessen during our visit to Halifax for a quick coffee, and it turned out to be one of the sweetest experiences of our trip. The owner was incredibly kind and friendly — she chatted with us, gave great suggestions for places to see beautiful fall views, and made us feel so welcome.

When one of us mentioned wanting to find a good pumpkin pie, she surprised us by bringing four complimentary slices for the whole group! That gesture honestly made our day — and the pie itself was amazing: perfectly spiced, and just delicious.

I'm very disappointed with the pies I've bought the last couple of times. For thanksgiving I got a pumpkin and apple crumble pie, and while the apple was good the pumpkin was severely underwhelming, barely any filling and overheard one of my guests refer to it as new york style.

I got another apple crumble pie for another event and while it looked good opening the box, topped up to the crust with toppings, a cross section shows it should just be called crumble pie. Again barely any filling.
