Delicado's North — Restaurant in Nanaimo

I really hate to write this review as I have been a long time customer however, I have had 3 bad experiences at this establishment and feel like their customer service needs to be addressed. All 3 incidents have been because they have altered my order in some way or changed up the ingredients of one of their wraps that I ordered ie. my chicken noodle wrap was filled with lentils instead of noodles, and when I bring up the issue their attitude is "too bad we were out of something and had to substitute". They shrug it off like nothing and are very rude about it. Today once again they must have been low or out of noodles and my wrap was filled with different vegetables that are normally not in a noodle wrap and little to no noodles. Same reaction from staff this time was told thats how it always is with extra attitude from the guy who made it. I have had 100s of these wraps over the years and its not how they are usually made. If you are low or out of some ingredients I would appreciate a heads up and communicate what my options are instead of giving me something I did not order and expecting me to "deal with it". Because of the recent attitude and poor customer service I am no longer a customer and I hope in the future management addresses their poor customer service issues before they lose many more. Decided to check this place out. I was greeted by a hippie chick with a shirt on that was way too small for her, her gut was hanging out. Can't really say I find it is in harmony with good food safe practices. Ordered California roll up. They charge $14 plus tax, and it was mostly tortilla, hardly any chicken, extremely disappointed, felt ripped off. The price for the roll up should be more around $5, not $14. It's about all it is worth. Especially considering I can go to their competitor and for the same price get a huge burrito, cut it in half, eat just half in one sitting and be full. I had to go to to another establishment to feel filled up. The owner of this place needs to step up their game, and don't be so darn cheap! Put some rice, beans and actual chicken in the roll up, it shouldn't only be mostly tortilla. The place was dirty, looked run down inside, the tables were dirty, and it wasn't all that busy. The staff should have all this under control. Customers deserve 3 key components when they visit a restaurant, it should have good food, good service, and be a clean place to eat. This establishment failed in all 3. Not good! I will not be returning to this...

I ordered by phone and was told 15 minutes, I was there in 5 minutes and paid and waited patiently. While I was waiting, 2 other customers ordered at the counter, one of them ordered the same thing I did. Those 2 customers that I ordered a solid 10 minutes ahead of got served before I did. I gave delicados a $5 tip to have my food put on hold for other customers. My other complaint is that they used to have actually spicy food, it used to be so hot I could barely eat it which I loved. I ordered a nitro this time, and it was maybe a medium at best, why even have 8 different levels of spiciness if the hottest one is super mild, I honestly couldn't tell the difference between nitro and the medium - spiciness in the wrap I got for my mom. The mildness of the spice I can live with and wouldn''t have made a complaint about it on it's own, but I also phoned and complained to a manager about the service and she was dismissive, and rather than apologize she said something to the effect of "if we say it's going to take 15 min when you order, it's going to...
