Mary Brown's Chicken — Restaurant in Nanaimo

Horrible experience at Mary browns. Placed an order on the website. After waiting 20 minutes after my delivery time I called the number given. I was told that no one was assigned to my order. Called Mary browns and stated how are we going to make this right. The person on the phone said since I didn’t get my order then I can come get it. They then stated that they would have an employee deliver it, after stating I would have to wake up my kid to do that.i was grateful for that. I gave instructions to drop off and they brought it to the wrong door. It’s now 1 hour since my delivery time, and my food is cold….. I asked for a refund but they couldn’t give me any answers on the phone. Just that they would email me in 24-48 hours with an answer. Yes I was polite to the employee and yes this post has frustration in it because I paid 80$ for cold chicken an hour after I was supposed to get it.. I guess we will see how this is dealt with a refund. Because how this was handled today is horrible. No empathy or care and not following instructions has left a poor taste in my mouth. Il update once I get my response back. *Update I have contacted in person, over the phone 4 times and a formal email to the oweners. They refuse to fix the situation. The owners have ignored my email and had no response. The manager in store says I should get a full refund but says it’s up the managers and Uber?…. It’s super clear they don’t care for their customers and won’t fulfill actions they say...

Well I do not have anything good to say about Mary Brown's on Metral Drive in Nanaimo. I ordered a 13 PC. Feast Meal. The order was to be a mix of spicy and regular chicken with large fries, large coleslaw and gravy. My order came within 20 minutes but the order was incorrect. I got 8 pics of regular chicken, small fries, small coleslaw and cold gravy with a macaroni salad. I called them right away and there was no manager on duty to help me out. I called the next day, spoke to a supervisor and he would make good on the chicken. Great! Went down to pick it up and they said they wouldn't make good and denied they made any error. Then, I spoke to the owner on the phone and basically he said they have cameras and don't make mistakes on their orders and that the driver must have ate the food. Lol - so the driver ate all the spicy chicken, also had Mary Brown's containers for a small fries, small coleslaw and magically was able to provide macaroni salad. The end result is that the staff was rude, not understanding at all and the owner knows nothing about business or customer service. We as humans make mistakes and most businesses would admit there was an error. Not once did I receive an apology. My mistake was I should have read the reviews on Google before I ordered from Mary Brown's on Metral Drive. Good luck with your business as I think you...

1st Trip : Absolutely Amazing Chicken and sides. We had Chicken strips, Original and Buffalo, so good !!!!!!!! With Taters, Regular and Nashville , so good. Best Chicken my Wife and I have ever tasted. This food is delicious !!!!! Highly recommend if you like Chicken. This is now the only place we go for take out Chicken. Thankyou for opening on Metral drive. 2nd Trip : My Wife and I got Chicken strips again, just Buffalo With Nashville taters and gravy, and tried the Pickle chips , didn't like those. Quality was excellent but size of Chicken strips was way smaller than our 1st visit. We were disappointed. Hopefully on our next visit the Chicken strips get Larger again. 3rd Trip : We picked up a 9 - piece Chicken meal Combo tonight with Coleslaw, Gravy , Taters and Sides of Nashville sauce. Absolutely 100 % AWESOME !!! This Chicken tastes Sooooooo Good , and all the sides. Mary Brown's Chicken is the only place we are going to now for Take out Chicken, we go to the MB next to Cobbs Bread. We used to go to the KFC next to Cabelas , .... but NEVER AGAIN , Mary Brown's Chicken is 100 times better tasting.
