Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Nanaimo

I have ordered pizzas from this place a whole bunch since they have opened and including a couple since they reopened due to covid. The service and quality has slowly been getting worse since they opened although I was pleased at first and recommended you to all My friends.

Just ordered a pizza and I guess the garlic sauce has gone off. It has curdled or something and tastes very sour. The medium meats pizza I have is unusually dry and has almost no sauce on it! Now I’m starting feel a wee bit sick after eating half the pizza. I don’t know what has happened I would have been a customer for life for sure but now I doubt I’ll return. I usually never give reviews online. But yesterday I was given such exceptional service from Papa Johns that I cant thank them enough. There was a kind lady I didnt catch her name. I ordered papa john's pizza through skip the dishes. When Skip the dished delivery guy came to our door, my son mistakenly turned him away and said that order didnt belong to us. I called Papa John embarrassed and trying to look for some help to track the delivery guy. The lady on the phone was so kind that she sent us our same order without charge. After long tiring day at work and no energy to do grocery I decided to order out. I was dreading the idea of going out and doing grocery for dinner after my son told me he turned the delivery guy away but this kind lady was God sent and saved my day!! Thankyou...

We were told 45min delivery. Called after 1hr15min waiting and was told 'yeah, sorry, we are busy'. This was our first time trying these guys and not impressed. Edit: This was originally a 1* review but Richard, the owner, called to resolve the issue and genuinely cared to make things right. If you aren't happy, I would suggest to give him a chance to make it right. The staff answering the phone at the store last night did not put me through to him so unfortunately it took a follow up today for this to happen. Bumped my review up to 3* for the follow up from the owner. PS - the pizza was pretty good, we will order from here again. Tried them again a year later, even worse than last time. Back down...
